Salaam Rainbow,

Here is a link to pakistani community forum. You will get better and fast response. According to recent approval in Islamabad, for K3 (3-4 month) and CR/IR(6 month). I dont think you will have a choice which one to pick. Your K3 will go much earlier than I130. I130 stays in NVC for more than 2 month where I129 only stays for couple of weeks. Good luck to your journey

W/Salaam,

Thanks for the info Asmo. I have heard that if I go for i129F then there's a lot of paper work that need to be done once my wife arrives in US and hearing from people that it's better that my wife waits in Pakistan and comes through i130 and she will get her Green card immediately.

It's difficult to wait for 10-12 months if I go for i130 however at the same time if I go for i129f I hope it won't create too much headache for me as I'm working professional and can't take days off to collect proper papers etc...

Please advise!

Your I130 and I129 approved together. I don't think you have a choice which one to pick. I130 will stay and on hold @ NVC for AOS and I129 continue and proceed to the Islamabad consulate way before than I130. Again you don't have a choice. In a positive note: K3 is much faster route than CR1/IR. Good luck

Eid Mubarak as well as Belated Eid Mubarak to other,

Guys would like to know the some trends in regards to Scheduling of Interview was IR1/CR1 Cases at Islamabad. With the grace of God the process has been Smooth so far and hope it will be over in the same fashion and sooner. My Wife Received the Instruction packet 3 from Consulate last week and we are going to submit the papers they requested soon. My only concern is scheduled Date of interview given by Consulate in Islamabad. I have heard that consulate is scheduling Interview as far as Jan or Feb for Interviews for some people (heard this for Attorny). Have you guys experienced this or heard anything like that. according to couple of timelines it seem like interviews are scheduled like month to month and half apart.

Any Updates or experiences will be appreciate. Thanks Alot. (May Allah Help you All, Inshallah.)

Please take this advise seriously since I was stuck in the FBI Name check for more than three years and unfortunately, I-485 is one the petition that requires Full (definitive) FBI name check. So, it's not just that waiting game. If you file I-485, your wife can get stuck in this limbo forever, so please go for CR1. IR1/CR1 route is little bit longer (only couple of months), but it's less stressful in a long run.

Even if you go through the K-3 route, I hope it never happens to you, but you never know. Please see this file and notice that I-130 is not listed here. Thousands of people are stuck in the I-485 process because of this mess created by USCIS and FBI. I was stuck for more than three years for my N-400 and then had to sue both USCIS and FBI in order to get my citizenship.

Best of luck to you!! Regards, kim

Congratulations on getting your packet and sending it back soon. The disappointing news is that they are taking a long time to schdule interviews like your attorney told you. I know since I have been on VJ over two years that it is taking 4-6 months for interviews of any kind from Islamabad and in our case it was 6 months. This consulate is very busy and understaffed and all you can do is ask them to move the interview up if they have any openings. Good luck.

Mary

AbeFaizi,

Mary is right. My wife's interview was scheduled 6 months 3 days from the date she received packet 4.:angry::angry:

Good Luck

Jaxguy,

Have you tried to contact or email Islamabad embassy to get interview sooner than 6 months?

asmo

Not speaking for Jaxguy, but we tried multiple times without lock - others seem to have the same experience. The only one whom I remember being successful was one with a medical recommendation (or pregnancy related need).

It's still worth trying though.

Yaar thats really sucks that we have to wait extra 6 month to get interview done. I am not sure why they are taking so long. Interview only takes half hour to an hour. I pray to God please unit us with our spouses soon inshallah. Sorry guys I had to vent. Good luck everyone

To me, the ultimate kicker is when you have to sit on AR/AP for months AFTER the interview. God! The horror.

Yes, you do need to Notarize it.

Any "Notray Public" can nottarize it. You will sign the form in the presence of Notary Public and then he/she will verify its really you by checking your photo ID (driver's license, passport, Green Card, etc). Notary will sign and stamp the form and date it.

You can check with your local bank where you have account (no charge), any lawyer, local UPS Store can also notarize for a fee, less than $10 each verification.

Good Luck
