Salam all

Can anyone please answer the following questions?

1, the list of documents/forms/paper the beneficiary (now the applicant) will get from Islamabad embassy once NVC forwarded CR1 case to embassy (I need list forms/documents/papers in package 3.5 to applicant from embassy?

2, DS230 part I has already submitted to NVC then why applicant/beneficiary has to submitted again part I and when?

A, in the response of package 3.5 in orders to get interview letter? Or

B, take them (DS230 I & II) at time of interview?

It will be great if anyone briefly describe the Embassy ‘s process flow.

Thanks,

Imran,

Ishteaq had a list of medical doctors, and his list of forms to submit to the embassy. I had already submitted the I-864 to the NVC and wrote a cover letter * and told them this in it and listed all the documents and order they were returned. Once it was returned they then send out packet 4 which is the actual interview letter.

Here is what was inside his packet 3.5.

Cover letter for the I-864 *

DS230 Part 1 and 2 had to have new ones. On part 2 he does not sign it until the day of the interview in front of CO if I am not mistaken. But it was filled out and ready for signature.

His birth certificate copy.

His marriage certificate copy

Copy of his passport

Medical report

Photographs passport size

Police reports from where he had lived or stayed

Good luck,

Mary

Mary thanks again!!! You did a good job…. Cool !!

Someone told me that embassy required certified copy of I-864 (Affidavit of support) again? Even though we all (CR1, NVC graduate) submitted already at NVC.

What is I-485 form? (I didn’t submit at NVC).

Imran I guess I put the wrong form number down. It is the affidavit of support forms they request in the packet 3.5 again. You just need to write a letter and say that it was sent to the NVC already. Sorry I will go and try and fix my post above with the correct form information.

Salam, everyone,

After, we submitted DS-230 form; I realized that there was a mistake/typo on the form. What should I do now?

By the way we have to submit form DS230 I & II again at the time of our interview in embassy. Can we correct the date at that time? Does this really big matter?

Thanks Mary. We will correct the dates and will take updated DS230 I plus II (which never filled before) in our interview. Hopefully CO doesn’t mind it (May be NVC not send them DS forms that is reason embassy wants separate copies part I and part II for its own record).

I am pretty relax now

Thanks !!

Imran .takes 2 weeks before they send out the pouch.

you need to just simply keep checking daily after 5pm. the operaters dont know.

they send mostly on TUEs. you will see it say " islamabad "

sometimes you will see 1 or 2 shipments. its kind of fun to track them .. then when you see one arrives .

send an e mail to ask has it been in the SYSTEM at this time. if NO .. wait for the next shipment.

I-485 do not pertain to your case! ignore this..

one thing about the DS 230 1&2

its weird. but we got our Ds 230 cleared on Jan 9th..

but they sent the packet to us.

the packet check list will say..

* IF THE DS 230 WAS SENT TO NVC PLEASE DISREGUARD

I called the embassy to double check I was told send only

Ds230 part 2. we could if we wanted to send in DS 230 again. but it was not required.

Shon his has an error on it. When his wife gets 3.5 she needs to send a new one with corrected information.
