Calling everyone going thru Islamabad Embassy, version 2.0

Is getting I-129 so quick? From the timeline you entered, it seems you filed I-129 at the end of January and your wife's interview is at the end of May, only 4 Months. Why didnt I know that . I filed I-130 in July last year and my wife's interview is at the end of June. Is there any wait to get the visa after the interview in case of I-130 or can it be same day. one week or two weeks??

Yes alhumdulilah it did go quick. Islamabad has stopped issuing visas the same day day and if there is no AP/AR it takes approx two weeks to get a visa

Did your wife receive her K-3 packet at home? or did she have to go to fed ex office to pick it up??

She received the packet by American express courier at home

Sheesh!!!! I dont remember my husband having to do all that! They must have changed things..... I don't think I could get two of my neighbors to vouch for me in my little association...

Police Certificate

Hi all I just wanted to share with you my expereince in getting a police certificate in Karachi, Pakistan

My wife went to the police station in covering her town and in my wife's case it was shahrae-Faisal, Karachi Police station.

She was told to bring the following:

Photocopy of Interview letter

2 1X1 Photos of her

2 photos of two neighbors that can vouch for her character

Id card copies of: Her, Her Dad and both of the neighbors

Once all of the above were taken to police station she was given a form which asked for the following:

Her name, address and signature

Her Father's name, address and signature

The neighbor's names, addresses and signatures

She was given the certificate the next by the Police station

wow she needed thats all haha i just gave them two photos haha and had certificate same day within hour from shahre Faisal police station haha..., show a little gifts they will do anything haha

I know I could have gotten it with just photos as well but I thought since I was doing everything the right way why not this as well and so i went through this and got it and my conscience stayed clean as well

Dont worry chicago you wont have to go through the whole AOS stuff. Man i still have not filed lol, i shoudl do it right away.

I just called DOS, and they said that the security check for my wife has been completed and an electronic message

has been sent to Islamabad Embassy.

I have a virtual Karachi-Pakistan number that I use so my wife can call me local, If you want pm me and I can forward that number to your phone and you can give Javed that number to call. maybe you'll have better luck with it
