I would guess that an uncommon name would result in less time being stuck on AP. Also in your observation what is the avg time females are stuck on AP for? and what exactly are they looking for?

Thanks!

wrong!!!

AP has to do with several factors not just the name. but, has to do with a few of the following:

1. place of birth

2. education - < has the person studied technoligy for example >

3. a persons skill < do the person has knowledge of chemicals >

4. places the person has traveled or lived..

theses are just a few of the criteria.

if your willing to LEARN more about AP/AR I can send you a long azz document detailing it for ya.

I would like the same information if anyone has any insight but I thing Mary is right when she says that unless people share their timeline their is no way of telling who is at what stage. I see the you dont have any timeline or a signature and that makes it difficult for finding out the true stats.

Khurram

some reason Pakistanis dont like to share information!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you can go to the morocco forum, asian forum, brazilan forum they all share information.

but, when something happens in your case.. the pakistanis hold the information. that is bad!!

infact my husband wanted me not to post developments of our case, he made me promise not to tell

anyone anything. I told him I REFUSE To promise anything of the sort.

there are too many people on here that I have supported and have supported me..

I will NOT do the very thing that I stand against!!!.

I think its important to share information and help each other in this hell!!!

I 100% agree with you here, How can you ask for help when you won't help anyone else and how can ask people to share their info if you won't share yours.

yes, I agree with babybunny. Everybody should help. I will keep my timeline updated. You know this process was so much easier before 9/11. My brother in law came before 9/11, he said that his interview was like 5 min max and he got his visa the same day.

I am so worried about this AP/AR stuff.....

Good Luck to all

Ok, I would like to know if I go Islamabad on my wife's interview, would they let me in? I heard that they only allow the person in who has interview.

I am planning to go Pakistan for one week just to be there on my wife's interview, what do I have to do to be there in front of Visa Officer while he/she interview my wife?

MY wife will have k-3 visa interview sometime may be in couple of months since NVC sent they are forwarding case in Islamabad but Islamabad said they did not get the case yet.

Thanks for any advice.

Data Sheet

Data Sheet a USC can attend the interview but it depends on the interviewer. Laney attended her husband's interview and a few men have went over to be with their wives. Most are allowed to go to the window and show their presence but the interviewer will direct all or almost all questions to the person that has the interview. I do not know of them not allowing anyone to not attend but the participation level is at a minumum. You will have to show your ID and tell them at the gate your with your spouse and then you can gain entrance with your wife.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

I called NVC and spoke to a person she said they still have our case at NVC and need about 2 to 4 week to process it and then will send it to Islamabad.

Well then why they send me letter on May 3rd that "within a week the petition will be forwarded to visa-issung post overseas".

What NVC does on case?

What NVC does on case?

Data Sheet

Usually they send the cases within days. What they are telling you is a canned response on how long it will take to complete and forward to Islamabad. NVC double checks the files for accuracy and does run some security checks.

Is there any faster way to bring your spouse here to USA. I was married last year in June and after I came back to USA, I filed I-130 for her. Her interview is in June this year. I have seen some people getting interviews within few months after filing. Did they do anything different than me. Just curious if there was a faster way which I didnt follow. And also if some one can clearify what is this CR-1 and K-3 etc.

Thanks
