Salam 0 Elakum, All I hope everyone doing great today. I just called NVC and they informed that my case has completed yesterday with grace of Almighty (Thanks Lord) and now they will send papers to Islamabad within few weeks (hopefully shortly).

Wish you all best of luck in your future endeavors.

those suckers at the embassy, they dont care for anyone. My cousin's husband had to go through this whole field investigation #######. She had like 2 kids by the time he came here, going back and forth. thats messed up. The pakistanis working at the embassy are much ruder than the americans. Another friend of mine just got his wife's visa, they were struggling for over 2 years. Every time they go for interview, the person interviewing finds some new BS item on the forms.

Hafiz and others I find it very difficult to deal with the Islamabad embassy. Others in the ME forums get the AR/AP but it is done in weeks and longest was 7 months. Here we are on hold and they do not inform us of why we are on hold. It also seems that field investigations are the norm now instead of just a few here and there. :( And I do not see how we can get things improved at this time.

Husband was told the case was at states. Call DOS and they say case has not been touched since Dec 12, 2005 the day of interview. I know we had field investigation in January and still nothing. Calling the embassy is a joke and my senator only gets the same canned email replies I get. I have contacted my congressman one month ago now and he has not responded. It is long struggle and may God/Allah continue to give me the strength on this arduous journey.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

I agree with you guys. The Pakistani employees at the embassy think they are Gods. I recently dealt with a real impolite one! A few american phrases she had learnt working with the americans she used them on me. I told her not to treat every one like an illiterate idiot.

I didnt want to mess with her more.. Because I didnt want to put something in my case that would further delar the process!

But I have decided that I am not going to call the embassy now. My correspondence will be either through email or through the senator.

Wow!!! Reading these posts seems like going through a time machine. All the issues we faced last year are still around ... It's been a long time since I've posted ... just wanted to say hello to everyone. It's been 8 months since my wife came here. The whole immigration process seems so long ago ... For those of you just now going through it and waiting for your spouses, cheer up - there is light at the end of the tunnel :D It may not seem like it now, but once you're reunited with your spouse, all of this will fade away until AOS time anyways.

Shahab

Hey Shahab....

How are ya?? hows it going with you?? nice to see you around
