08/19/05 Packet 3.5 returned to embassy.

10/31/05 Got Packet 4 with interview date.

12/12/05 Interview.

Good luck. We were marriage visa so they take little longer to schedule.

Mary

Shon & Mary,

You guys really deserve a visa now. I am sure both of you have a very happy reunion soon after such long hellish immigration journey.

But one thing is clear that US has double standards for Pakistan. On one hand Pakistan and US are allies both of ‘em are part of War against terrorism however on other hand US has tight security issue against Pakistani immigration/non Immigration Visa applicants.

This whole thing is not understandable.

Best of luck.

Thanks Imran, I know it is double standard when you read their policies. I know that 9/11 made it harder for us to get visas as well. Just like you said this whole process is not understandable since there is no rhyme or reason. All we can do is pray for patience and understanding in this process and know that Allah/God will bless us in the end.

Mary

Thank you Imran. its true nothign is understandable. I thought we were waiting for the security checks

to clear. but, we have been waiting 3 months since they cleared. not fair. but, we all should be done with this stuff so soon.

Shon!

I am so sorry to hear that! DOS visa services misinform a lot. Dont worry, hopefully everything is ok. Sometimes they order more security checks and those come back real quick. I think u are already done with the ones that take long.

Also yes write to congressman but unfortunately Congressmen cant do much during security checks. The only person that can expedite the case is the secretary of state but the case has to be in national interest.

Dont worry, I hope everything is ok! Did they tell u what SC was ordered in ur case?

Javed called the embassy- I was hoping he did not find out about the security checks. he got the brunt of the news - they told him 30-90days. so he is very upset :( nothing we can do.

This just sucks! They just want to drag it out over and over again don't they! Hang in there Shon, go visit your sweetheart...it will give you something to look for until this nightmare is over for you!

Hugs to ya!
