My wife was interviewed for K3 yesterday at ISL and she got it without any problem. She had tons of supporting material with her but was only asked for a few things. The (male) interviewer asked about me (how long have I been in US, what do I do, How did I got my citizenship), I-134, and a couple of our wedding pictures. After collecting so much material and having spent so long researching and preparing, this was a bit surprising but certainly welcome. She says another lady interviewed for immigrant visa was put on AP.

Well thats it and best of luck to all of you!

Wow Congratulations

ALL, I need urgent reponse to my questions if possible. I am about to send DHL to my wife, she is schedule for k3 interview on March 6th.

1) Today she went to get police certificate, because on her NIC and passport her father name mentioned so they gave her letter MISS XXXXX with Father name. This will work for Embassy? Otherwise if she show marriage certifcate then they will put MRSXXXXxx with husband name as middle name. HEr petition and passport show Father name. What SHOULD I DO? MISS will work or they MUST PUT MRS?

2) I want her to fly via LONDON, she need LONDON transit visa? I don't think so but please do confirm.

3) Where else she can fly via EUROPE without TRANSIT VISA? Because i do not have vacation and I want to pick her up somewhere from EUROPE while she will be at transit lounge.

Shon!

The DOS sent my clearance to Islamabad but, there was an error in it so the embassy has to resend the request for the last clearance.

Any advice what it could be anything like SAO?

Blessings from Almighty ALLAH for all of us.

This question was discussed already, you should have changed the name on the passport and NIC card before. I dont know if you can change the names on both now in time for interview.
2) I want her to fly via LONDON, she need LONDON transit visa? I don't think so but please do confirm.

Look make it simple make it easy, buy PIA, she will be flying will all desis so you wont have too many problems. No she does not need transit visa.

3) Where else she can fly via EUROPE without TRANSIT VISA? Because i do not have vacation and I want to pick her up somewhere from EUROPE while she will be at transit lounge.

my wife came here through manchester via pia and no transit visa was asked for. I dont know about other airlines. I know the rule is if your green card was issued before 1998 you should have transit visa, otherwise not.

By the grace of Allah swt, my wife has received her visa! I am so excited and relieved that this process is finally over. Now I have to start reading up on AOS! I just wanted to thank you all as this thread has been very helpful. To pass on some information, she said that the interviewer was very friendly, asked if she wanted to answer in Urdu or English, and asked very basic questions like what does your husband do for a living, what does he like to do for fun? She brought a lot of evidence of our relationship, but they hardly looked at anything. I am so relieved she didn't have to go through the AP security check.

Good luck to everyone who is still in the process! And may God bless us all with beautiful marriages together!

Dear ALL PAKISTANIS,

I came here and write after so long where i stand now that on 18 december i send my all the documents to the embassy after i received PACKET 3.5 When i send my documents to the embassy after one week i got the joint sponsor documents also from my fiancee and then i email embassy that shall i send to you those joint sponsor documents to embassy by AMERICAN EXPRESS or i show u at the time of my interview the reply i got from the embassy by email that not a problem u can bring it with you at the time of interview

On 06 February i got a call from american express to collect my documents and i got happy that i got interview date but to my surprise i got the letter from the embassy including all the documents i send to them saying that my documents are deficient and i need to give them joint sponsor documents.

I was surprised to read that becoz i already ask the embassy shall i send to them and they said no problem u can bring it at the time of interview and whereas they send me a letter telling me that my documents are incomplete becoz it dont had joint sponsor

Anyhow now i resubmit all the documents they need including the joint sponsor and now waiting still for my interview date and medical date

What is sad that i send m documents on 18 december and still i m waiting for my interview despite it is not my fault if the documents were incomplet i already told them shall i send them to the embassy and embassy said not a problem u can bring it at the time of interview but then they say me we could not give u interview date becoz u dont have given joint sponsor documents

What is hurting that alot of time being wasted on sending joint sponsor again to the embassy i do hope if they now expedite my case and give me my interview date soon

So still waiting n waiting for my interview then comes the final wait of AR or AP

Looking forward that now embassy give me interview date soon

wish u good luck to all who are waiting for their visa

Does anyone know how long a K3 visa is valid, i.e. how long you have to enter the U.S. that first time?

Edit: I'm not sure if I phrased that clearly. I am trying to figure out how long she can stay in Pakistan before she has to come to the U.S. She wants to spend a little time with her family before flying over, but I want to be sure that the visa doesn't expire and she doesn't get stuck!

Thanks.
