Zaki interviews are scheduled two months or longer. I think Leona is the last CR1 and Rashid was scheduled two months from the time the embassy received packet 3.5.

Hello Everybody,

Thanks Mary for replying to my post under the other topic. I am working on my time line and will post it soon. I have one other question. My I130 has been approved but I129F hasn't and is under process. If I am going to go through Islamabad Embassy, which visa kind is better for me?? I know the pros and cons of both but just want to opinions with regard to Islamabad Embassy.

Thank you so very much

Like i know u had to swear infront of consular officer and that the interview is same like u had to sit infront of window opposite to counselor officer as it happen when we go for visit visa or the interview happen in some seperate room. How long it takes during the interview and how many questions do counselor officer ask. Please share your experience with me i will be highly obliged

asisun the K3 is usually the faster route for bringing over a male from Pakistan. But everything also depends on how common the name, do they get a name hit, overstays, etc. Good luck on your processing and glad ot see you joined us here.

Adil Khan congratulations on your K3 being approved. Your K3 will go to the embassy for further processing. The embassy usually does not stop the K3 unless the CR1 is already there or arrives within a few days of the K3. You can continue with the K3 and hopefully your CR1 will arrive and then ask them to give your interview on the CR 1. In our case my K3 arrived and then less than one week the CR1 arrived so the embassy cancelled our K3 and continued our processing on the CR1. Good luck.

zaki at each stage of your processing your paperwork is in some type of security checks. I do know that when they are in AP before the interview stages it can mean they are looking over your files, ordering security checks or they will have a field investigator looking into your case. Keep us posted on when you get your interview date.

Glad to see that this thread is getting active again. :D

I am little curious to know about the atmosphere of interview i had applied for visit visa in 2004 but was denied and at that time. I want to know the atmosphere is same like u go inside the embassy in the beginning u submit ur documents with ur passports to one member of the staff and then u sit and wait for your turn until ur name is called from one of the windows to appear for the interview

But here it seems u had to swear first infront of counselor so its the atmosphere same or u had to interview with counselor officer at a seperate place or room can anybody who had their interviews will try to tell me the atmosphere especially for the immigrant visa like k-1 k-3 or CR-1/CR-11

Hey all,

My Case was approved October 18th and sent by NVC on 11/06/2006 and I believe that ISL recd. it on 11/10/2006 (using little detective work through DHL.com) My question is that it's been a while now and my fiance in Karachi has still not recd. packet 3 yet. I understand it takes time and also the Holidays period came as well but usually how long does it take.

Also once the documents are sent back based on other K1s how long before the interview date is given.. I just need a ballpark date so I can plan travel etc.

Thanks in advance

PS -> this waiting game is oh so frustrating... as it is I just can't wait to see her....

Hi Thanks.. I'm from the SW area of town close to Sugar Land. I'm just really nervous about how long the embassy is taking. I hope this thing is wrapped up quickly... I can't stand being away from her... (I'm sure everyone on here feels the same way) I see in the timelines that there is another member with a similar timeline that got the Packet 3 and I PM'ed him but didn't get a reply.. I'm wondering if he (username dlg) sent it in and if he got a date so I can get an estimate of how long it would take.
