Hello VJ members,

I want to ask about Medical checkup. 6 years back i got problem with my right kidney. Doctors removed my kidney due stones. After that i am totally fit. I am currently waiting for packet 4 then i will schedule my medical in Islamabad.

Will this surgery lead any problems to get visa or any additional documents required?? I don't have any record of that surgery.

Thanks and looking some help.

Zaki I know that the medical grounds that they usually deny a visa from are

1. Mentally unstable and could be harmful to yourself or others.

2. Have AIDS or other communicable diseases or severe ongoing disease like cancer.

3. Have a drug or alcohol addiction.

They want to make sure you will not be a burden to the US government and it's citizens. I know of one couple both are wheelchair bound and they just got approved and married in the US. They are a sweet couple and here is their ID. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showuser=19379

And I know of another one way back that had some health issues and they were approved.

Any body else please chime in and good luck on your upcoming medical.

I have quick question for everyone wh had experience or know something about this.

I did applied K3 for my wife, hopefully we will get approval soon, my question is on her passport its written her father name not husband name because she had a passport before our marriage and I did not bother to chage it. Plus we did travel to Malaysia on honeymoon back in dec 2006 (time we got married).

1) If he change her passport then proof we visited malaysia ill be missing.

2) Do she has to change father name to husban name before interview?

3) Embassy will ask her why still her father name is on passport not husband?

4) Should I leave as it is, I believ i should leave as it is because i don't see any problem with fathe name or husband name. any suggestion with experience or to your best knowledge will help us.

If she has to change my name from her father name because embassy might doubt it, then offcourse i want to make this happen now rather then last minute

Looking for experience and best knowledge answers

Ok everyone so my husband had his interview today in Islamabad. He went through the whole process adn they are now asking for some additional paperwork. First of all my uncle who is my co-sponser I need to send proof of his status. He is a US citizen through Naturalization. SO iwill send a copy of his passport and naturalization certificate. Also when my husband came he came on PC and applied for political asylum. They have all this on record and nothing is hidden. Now when he went back to pakistan he has no proof of the Date he went back. He went back in 2002, they want proof. What kind of proof can we supply. They said if you don't have proof than u must supply us with an Affidavit. And also they want to know what his legal status was when he was here. I don't understand y they would need that because they have his old file from when he was here. And he overstayed his visit last time. I don't know but he will be going to see an attorney inshallah on Mon. They gave him a blue slip and said that he doesn't need to make another appointment just come when u have your pperwork ready. His interveiwer was a Chinese man I think he said and he was a little rude. I have not talked in much detail with him yet about the whole procedure I will do that tomm. He said that they didn't even look at our wedding pics or anything and he thinks that they seemed ok with the legality of our marriage.

So does anyone have any idea of this what they think will happen? Anyone know any good immigration lawyer in Lahore?

I am really at a lose and feel like we are stuck in the middle. Also his I-130 has been approved and they sent me bill for Affidavit of support. But I called NVC to find out if I have to fill out fee since I just did it for the K-3, and she said that dont do anything till I find out what is going on with this case. If I start the I-130 they will close teh K-3.

Any news or words of wisdom will be appreciated...

Missinghim you are in AP/AR for missing or incomplete paperwork at this time since your husband got a 221g form. I agree with USCIS do not go any further on the CR1 now since it will kill the K3 and once checks start on the K3 it cannot be stopped until completed. So your CR1 would sit on hold until the K3 cleared and then they would cancel it and move forward on the CR1. If you would prefer the CR1 then wait a few days and decide on what is best for you. But you will still need the information that they are requesting now.

1. Naturalization papers do not seem to be an issue. Get them and send them for submission.

2. When he was in the states did he have a credit card to buy airfare back to Pakistan? How about termination from a job letter, boarding passes? Anything that could lead a trail of his leaving the USA and going back home.

3. In our case they did not look over our documents and said it needed more processing and then we had a field investigation. These are very common so he may have someone inquiring around his home, family, job on his character.

4. Also, they will have to do his security checks before they can issue his visa.

I would consult with a lawyer and hopefully someone knows a referral for you. Good luck and keep us posted.

Mary

1. why are you worried about malaysian trip? just take the old passport with you to the interview and show it to them.

2. yes you have to change the name on the passport. not her name but your name has to be on the passport. for instance: your wife can choose to keep her old name but on the passort your name will appear on line 3 of pakistani passport.

i think one person had issue at nvc with this(sham i think).

my wife has kept her old name but my name apears on the passort under line 3. hope this helps.

23 more days.. .anyone know any good phone card that i could take with me to call my husband from the pay phone at the airports?

Thanks ,

Leona

ah 37 more days for me. i cant wait
