hey...i was just wondering...my husband had his interview yesterday and they kept his passport and told him it will be fed ex'd to him in a few days. does a few days really mean a few days or does it mean he's been put on the dreaded administrative review???? i know some of u will ask for my timeline and i'll give it to u in a nutshell

I applied for the I130 in March. Got an NOA in March. Applied for I129F in April. Got an NOA in April. Got a 2nd NOA for the I29F in July. Husband got his interview date for Sept 15th. I130 was approved some time in August but have not yet received any more info on that. I will give detailed dates for anyone who is interested.

I was worried because we are from Peshawar so I thought they might give us a hard time for being in such close proximity to Afghanistan but it seems like he will get his visa right??

oh, and it was for K3

Did he get a 221g which can be in blue or white form? If he got either one of these he is on AR/AP and it will have to run its course. If not and they did not take full set of prints maybe you will have the visa in short time. I know our case was to be fine and was to be completed in short time and we were 5 months of AP in black hole but my husband did a 221g. Each case is different and and no one can really tell you for sure when your husband will be issued his visa. Stay strong and positive and hopefully your wait will not be too long.

he didn't get a form 221(g). they took his passport and said to wait a few days and he'll get it back via fed ex. he says the translator turned out to be an acquaintance and that the interviewer was also very friendly...

Did they really say a few days or give a short time period like 15 days - 2 months which is what they told my husband. He also didn't get the 221g and said the interviewer was friendly. I guess no one can predict how long the post-interview process will be because everyones cases seem to be different.

Can someone please tell me where on the form it says 221(g)? My husband is pretty sure that he didn't get this form and I am assuming that if this were the case, his interviewer would have told him. Would any person going through the normal, required admin process get a 221(g)?

admin processing is automatic code : 221g

is he on admin processing?

if you are not sure .. start by calling the DOS. ask if there are security checks ordered.

Fooki,

Police certificates expire at different times depending on the providences. I would check and see if it has a date or inquire if it has expired you will need a new one by the time you interview. Good luck.

Congratulations on this new purchase. :D I see you are not getting things ready for your wife's arrival.
