Questions:

1) How to obtain police report in Pakistan? What documents do they need for that?

-An application

-Affidavit

-CNIC (computerised national identity card)

-Photographs

In fact many persons required to sign the application. e.g. Conseler, Mohrer of Tahna, SHO, DSP and SP. So its upto you that how fast u can get remarks and signatures from these persons. I took 2 days only.

2) Once issued, how long is police report valid for from embassy's point of view?

-1 year i think becaz my interview was sceduled after 6 months of issuance of docs and embassy has not asked me to bring fresh on,

3) Do all documents that she will take to embassy need to be attested? If yes, who does it? Foreign affairs? Issuing authority? Or notary public?

i got two copies: one was notarized by nootrary public other was plain. well " No need to attest any documents if she is taking Originals with her" is a valid point.

4) When u say ISLAMABAD is scheduling interviews for December in July, you mean the cases that were approved in July? Or the cases that reached embassy in July? Or people who returned required documents to embassy in July?

i think when people return case

I called DOS today and the guy told me that your dad's case is in AP IN Islamabad, I asked for details but he said he doesn't have any... so, what's the deal? argh. I want a clear answer and they never provide one!

AP is total darkness. They will not tell you anything and will not find out anything until they call him or send him a letter to return to the embassy. AP is Administrative Processing and that is what Omid's SO and my husband endured. Please take it one day at a time and pray for patience.

Mary
