Does Islamabad embassy provide list of "Panel doctors" where my wife can go for medical exam?

Does she has to wait for packet from islamabad or she can go now and have medical exam?

Anybody knows list of panel Dr. in Lahore?

Thanks,

Data Sheet

I was told by my attorney that my husband could go b4 the packet, though you need a I-693 Medical Exam form for the doctor to fill out. I don't have a list of approved doctors though my husband called around and found one.

Hello Data Sheet

I have a packet 3.5-but I got it a year and a half ago.

It shows that in Lahore-there is Doctors Hospital & Medical Center

The doctors are Dr. Amer Ikram and Dr. Talat Shah

Phone Number: 5302701-14 (14 lines)

and also there is Masood Hospital

Doctors there are Dr. Hassan Masood Khan and Dr. Romaana Masood

Phone number is 111-627-663, 5882481-2 or 5881961-3

u might want to have your wife call and make sure these doctors are still doing the tests. In packet 3.5 it says that you need to show a letter from the US embassy at the doctors office showing the visa category etc. They usually give the test results back within a few days. I would think its better for her to wait till she gets the packet-you dont want medicals to expire (I think they expire after a year!)

Good luck and congrats on the upcoming birth of your first child! :)

May 31st, 2005- Submitted I-130

Dec 2nd, 2005- Received Packet 3.5

May 24th, 2006-Submitted Packet 3.5

June 1st,2006- Received Interview letter for November

August 15th, 2006- Date changed for interview to September 21,2006

September 21st, 2006-Interview and put on AR/AP

October 13th, 2006-I return to Pakistan

January 3rd, 2006-They said visa approved and took my hubby's passport-but no visa in sight :(

Is there any faster way to bring your spouse here to USA. I was married last year in June and after I came back to USA, I filed I-130 for her. Her interview is in June this year. I have seen some people getting interviews within few months after filing. Did they do anything different than me. Just curious if there was a faster way which I didnt follow. And also if some one can clearify what is this CR-1 and K-3 etc.

Thanks

IR/CR visas are to bring your spouse to the US. That usually takes about 18 months if you apply in the US.

That wait can be shortened by applying for the K3 visa [i-129F] AFTER applying for the spouse visa [i-130]. K3 visa can be applied for only by a USC . IR means immediate relative and if you have been married for less than 2 years when you apply, your spouse will be given a CR [conditional residence] visa.

I married in December 2004 and case went to Islamabad end of July 2005 and interview for CR1 was December 12, 2005 and visa ajudicated on May 10, 2006. Sorry but it does take time and varies on how fast the embassy processing is going. K visas get their processing done faster but they have to AOS stateside and some have problems of taking year or longer.

But the security check from NVC would waive the AP/AR from the embassy that a name has already been checked, or embassy does its own?

ALI

Ali from day one once you send in paperwork security checks are started on the USC or person applying for the applicant as well as the applicant and each step of the processing there are more checks. At the embassy level they do full set of checks and run finger prints too. So this is a complicated processing and you will be amazed at the number of checks that are run on both persons.

I am planning to go Pakistan for one week just to be there on my wife's interview, what do I have to do to be there in front of Visa Officer while he/she interview my wife?

MY wife will have k-3 visa interview sometime may be in couple of months since NVC sent they are forwarding case in Islamabad but Islamabad said they did not get the case yet.

Thanks for any advice.

Thank you very much MaryandMian and KHURRAM SERAJ for the information. I think i am pretty late to apply for the K-3 visa now as my wife's interview is in June. About a month and a half left. Hopefully everything goes OK inshallah. By looking at different people's responses, it seems that females are getting the visa same day or in about 1-2 weeks. Another question, I heard from some one that if the person is coming on PIA after the visa, they need the transit visa for UK because there is a stopover in Manchester UK. Called PIA and the person there told that if the US visa is stamped then pessenger wont need the UK transit visa, but if the visa is not stamped on the passport then transit visa is needed. If thats the case, is this I-130 visa stamped on the passport or not. Because if we need visa then I might start preparations for that also.

Thanks

I-134.

A friend of mine needs to send I-134 for his wife which hopefully will have an interview in June for her K-3 visa. I think I have seen a sample of I-134 on this forum, would somebody tell me which page I can find it or jsut paste the link on this page? Also, if your taxable income is lower than poverty line, can embassy accept it or they must ask for co-sponsor. Does the cash surrender value on I-134 counts or embassy just go by the tax return amount?

Chicago my husband's CR1 was pasted along with a stamp (and it is inside the bank so I cannot verify inside his passport )and this was one year to this date. Not sure if any changes.

Direct Airside Transit Visa

If you are one of the passport holders listed below and will transit the UK airside (i.e. Mumbai-London Heathrow London Heathrow-New York, and not Mumbai-London Heathrow and then London Gatwick-New York destination, staying in the UK less than 24 hours), you require a Direct Airside Transit Visa to transit the United Kingdom. This is the case even if you only intend to remain airside and will not pass through UK Immigration. AFGHANISTAN, ALBANIA, ALGERIA, ANGOLA, BANGLADESH, BELARUS, BURMA (MYANMAR), BURUNDI, CAMEROON, PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF CHINA, COLOMBIA, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO (ZAIRE), ECUADOR, ERITREA, ETHIOPIA, GAMBIA, GHANA, INDIA, IRAN, IRAQ, IVORY COAST, KENYA, LEBANON, LIBERIA, MACEDONIA, MOLDOVA, NEPAL, NIGERIA, PAKISTAN, PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY, RWANDA, SENEGAL, SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO, SIERRA LEONE, SOMALIA, SRI LANKA, SUDAN, TANZANIA, TURKEY, TRNC, UGANDA, VIETNAM, YUGOSLAVIA, ZAIRE (FORMERLY DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO), ZIMBABWE.

Please note however that if you are transiting en route to the Republic of Ireland, and you are a national of one of the countries above, you will require a visit visa and the exemptions below do not apply.

Exemptions: You are exempt from this requirement if:

1.You hold a valid US or Canadian visa and your ticketing includes a visit to the US or Canada.

2.You are in possession of an onward ticket for travel by air via the UK when leaving the US or Canada within 6 months of your last date of entry to the US or Canada with a valid US/Canadian visa [Which includes K1,K3 and CR1 - even if you have the valid packet with the visa stamp on it].

3.You hold a USA Permanent Resident Card issued on or after 21 April 1998. To calculate this subtract ten years from the expiration date on your Alien Registration Card.

4.You hold a Canadian Permanent Resident Cardissued on or after 28 June 2002.

5.You hold a valid Category D visa(normally printed on a red/pink sticker, green stickers do not qualify) issued by EU/EEA member states, which are valid for more than 3 months.

6.You hold a valid EU residence permit.

You will not need to get a transit visa unless you plan on going outside the aiport.
