Thanks Khurram and Jaxguy. My wife live in karachi but I don't think there is much difference. Congrat Khurram for your wife's homecoming  and good luck jaxguy for upcoming interview

Thank you, she will be coming with to the US on the 12th of Jan 08

Why wait this long??? My wife will be sitting in a US bound plane one week after she gets passport with visa :)

I totally agree with Jaxguy

The reason is that I am going to go there in a week or so and stay there and come with me

-Khurram

hi everyone . I just called DOS and guess what the interview date has been issued. but i am very upset here . june 6th of next yearrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :o oooooooooh come on thats very much unfair to the immigrants after waitting for sooooo long thats what we get . anyway friends i have one thing to ask is there way to get an earlier date, can i request or anyting like that . cuz i am planing to go to pakistan next month . :help: plz let me know if there anyting can be done . thanks

Hi. Maybe you can call or email the embassy, but from what I hear lately the interviews have been scheduled anywhere from 4-6 months away. I am planning on being in Pakistan next summer for a few months and I am hoping that my fiance will have his interview by then, but from the way things look I don't know.

all of us want earlier intvw dates....no there's no way to get it......you can't even callk anymore. we are also travelling to pk...but even the birth of my husbands child doesnt warrant faster timing....we all have to wait in line......and yes, it is stinky to wait so long after all this.....thank the illegals

I cant believe they scheduling interviews so far away. Then to think u have the wait again on AP, that really stinks

Hello everyone!

Sorry for being disappear. I was actually in Pakistan. ok, please help me in this especially Khuraam, jaxguy and scartalk because you all have gone through the process.

The NVC farwarded the case to Islamabad couple of days ago and Now I have to change both my wife's Physicall address in Pakistan and her Phone numbers. can anyone tell me what is the best way of doing it. Should I email Islamabad Embassy??

Also, if we do not recieve Packet 3 or 3.5(whichever is the first Packet), can we mail all the docs when we know that they have sent it. I know the first Packet contains the Medical infi, but we alraedy know where she needs to go to do the medical. What I am asking is that Do we need something from the Packet to send it back to the embassy just like The NVC Barcode?? Or can we mail all the docs by ourselves.

Below is the list of docs that I believe We will neeed to mail to teh emabassy in order to get the IR1/CR1 interview letter.

1) Birth Certificate (Original and Translation) and One photocopy

2) Marriage Certificate( Original and Translation) and one Photocopy

3) Copy of the passport biograhic page

4) DS-230 (Both Part 1 and Part 2, but part 2 not signed)

5) A statement from my wife that I have already paid all the Fees at NVC). I am also planning to send her the letters from NVC that the Fees have been paid

Please tell me freinds if I am missing something from the list. Please Reply! Thank you!! Regards, kim

You will need to email the embassy with your case number and the ben and pet. names and dob..and let them know your new address. DON'T send anything before you get your packet...it'll be tossed! let them know in the email you need a new packet sent. YOu may also want to call Nvc here in the states....this is what I was told to do...but make sure you email the embassy and hang on to your documents until you receive the letter. Best of luck! Heading to PK myself in Dec

Thanks for your help! But I think the forms you are talking about are only for K1 and K3 Visa and Not for IR1/CR1. The parents' form, I think, she will fill out on the day of interview.

Anyone, plesae correct me if I am wrong.

The best way to change your wife's address is you have to write a letter including all the potential information and sign and date it and then you can scan and send it via email. That's how I had to do it in my case. they won't just except an email they need your signature.

That's not a bad idea, but it wasn't necc. in my case, I actually just did it over the phone....but things change so regularly!

Send new or updated information to them as soon as you can. I will say that they can still ask for a joint sponsor but it is worth a try to just have you as her sponsor since they may say the history is not long enough. Good luck.

JP and I are headed to the hospital and it looks like he will be in surgery most of the day, so please remember us and the surgeon today.

Mary

Good luck on the AOS.
