Kim_786 welcome to the Islambad forum and I added you the the list on AR/AP. Do not worry about that part but it keeps up with the type of visa, male or female, and interview date and we post your success of visa in hand too. Good luck on your journey.

Mary

Thank you so much Mary!! I will also keep all of you informed about my case. Hope, they will upgrade it soon. regards, kim

All praises for Almighty Allah for His great great blessings.

After more than 14 months AP/AR, i got my visa today via Speedex.

I must mention that VJ has helped a lop otherwise there would have been big surprises for me after each passing day.

Few Questions:

1) On my visa, it is written "upon endorsement serves as temporary i 551 evidence permamnent residence for 1 year". What does its mean?

2) What about my education certificates? do i have to get it verfiied by some govt organization so that it become valid there in USA?

3) What if i change my address in USA? which form is to be used by me? What are the quick guidence from you people on this topic?

Thanks

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Congratulations !!!!! this weeks has been really Great for ISB filers. Hope to see many more in near future.

Few Questions:

1) On my visa, it is written "upon endorsement serves as temporary i 551 evidence permamnent residence for 1 year". What does its mean?

It means the stamp is a proof of your permanant residence in USA, until you get Green Card in the mail. Once you enter USA, you will get GC within a month, 2 weeks in some states.

2) What about my education certificates? do i have to get it verfiied by some govt organization so that it become valid there in USA?

If you are planning to continue your education in USA, then every school has their own criteria of verifying certificates. Most of them use thrid party verification services in USA to find out foreign education's equivalent in USA

3) What if i change my address in USA? which form is to be used by me? What are the quick guidence from you people on this topic?

I would recommend not to change your address until you get your Green Card in the mail. Evey time a LPR (green card holder) changes address, USCIS requires to file form AR-11 within 10 days of move.

Here is link to AR-11 form

CONGRATZZZ TO ALL OF YOU!!! Masha'Allah, It gives the rest of us hope that this journey will end.... for all of us Insha'Allah!! Ameen. Summa Ameen!

My husbands interview is coming near, and Im getting more anxious... one main thing im worried abt is.. that we dont have ANY proof of calling.. i mean i talk to him at least ONCE daily if not more times a day... EVERYDAY.. but i use phone cards and so does he...will this be a big deal???? Has anyone ever gone without proof of phone records?

Another thing is that I havnt seen him for 2 years... because when i came back in 2005 i was 2 months pregnant.. so it would have been difficult to go back.. and then it was even harder after i had my daughter.. I was thinking about going now.. but he said lets just wait and see wht happens and then we can decide wht to do..

He does have our wedding pictures, and our pictures after our marriage, marraige videos, and about 400 actual pics of our daughter and like a thousand on CD... and home videos of our daughter, some cards ive sent him... would this be enough??? Is there anything ele I should send him???

Overall, should I be worried? or will this be enough??

and if you have any other advice pls share!

Personally I would reccomend a visit if you can manage and if not make sure your husband has detailed proof of why you have not been able to meet for two years. Also it would really help to have strong proof of your being in touch with your husband specially if you are not able to visit him before the interview. You can print out emails and chat logs (msn and yahoo etc) if you have them saved. Goodluck for the future.
