But you filed K3. Main purpose of K1 and K3 is to bypass the delay that CR1 folks have to go through.

My 2 paisa's...

True, but whats your point?

somehow i thought you were providing your timeline based on what jaxguy asked. So i was just clarifying my old point that turnaround for K1 and K3 is much quicker than Cr-1. Thats all.

Dood Wala,

How's life in CA? Your wife has been here for almost two years now, what are you doing here in this forum?

Where is everyone? No one has shared any info in a while.

Well, while I am here, I will share information on how to expediteI-130 petition.

USCIS Expedite Criteria

All expedite requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and are granted at the discretion of the Director. The criteria are as follows:

Severe financial loss to company or individual

Extreme emergent situation

Humanitarian situation

Nonprofit status of requesting organization in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States

Department of Defense of National Interest Situation (Note: Request must come from official United States Government entity and state that delay will be detrimental to our Government)

USCIS error

Compelling interest of USCIS

If your case is at a local office at the time you need to make your emergency request, please go to the local office in person to make your request. Please be sure to take all supporting documentation with you.

If your case is at one of our Service Centers or the National Benefits Center, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 to receive further instructions on where and how to send your request.

You need to fax USCIS all relevent documents including a cover letter explaining reason for expedite service and a Copy of I-797 (Notice of Action).

Make sure you write Return Fax number on each page.

If your case is at California Service Center, fax number is (949) 389-3441

If your case is at Vermont Service Center, fas number is (802) 527-4816

USCIS will make decision in 3 business days and notify you via fax (Return Fax #)

I have requested USCIS to expedite my son's I-130, since my wife's case is already at NVC. If someone is in the similar situation, let me know and I will provide you all the information.

Guys shares some good news..........who got Approvals..........

Hi All,

My wife had her 1-130 interview on the 22nd. They fingerprinted all of her fingers and after the interview she was told that further processing was required for our case. She also got a pink token and a slip of paper saying that she is on AR. They also took her passport which is I guess a good thing, right?

The thing that is bothering us that the visa officer never said "congratulations, you are approved", etc.. It seems that from what I've read on this forum is that they usually at least say "you are aprroved, but..." so this is making us a bit worried. What are your opinions about this?

And how long do you think it will be until the AR/AP is over and after that, how long till she actually gets her visa? Is there anything else that has to be done after AR is over? I'm heartbroken because I was thinking she was going to get approved right away and we would have our visa in a few weeks :(

Yusef

BTW, I will post my timeline soon.

I personally dont think it matters if they say Congrats u have been approved. I dont even know why they say that. Cuz my fiance was told that COngrats you have been approved. We need some further processing. We will try to handle ur case in a timely manner and try to get ur visa in 2 months. Then end of the THIRD month is here nowwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Soooooooo ... I think you are ok. And since its ur wife ... I think you are in a better shape than me as my fiance is a GUYYYYY :) I went thru exactly the same emotions as u as I didnt even know that there is any thing like AP!! Well .. all we can do is wait. Goodluck! Inshallah everything willl go fast and smooth.

Yusef, Your wife had a name hit or something and hopefully her prints will be back in a short time and they will ajudicate the visa. Getting the pink token is a good sign so hang in there.

The thing that is bothering us that the visa officer never said "congratulations, you are approved", etc.. It seems that from what I've read on this forum is that they usually at least say "you are aprroved, but..." so this is making us a bit worried. What are your opinions about this? Depends on the interviewer and this is the same thing she will experience at POE each person has a different personality and some are more friendlier than others.

And how long do you think it will be until the AR/AP is over and after that, how long till she actually gets her visa? Is there anything else that has to be done after AR is over? I'm heartbroken because I was thinking she was going to get approved right away and we would have our visa in a few weeks :( AP has no time limit and usually ladies are a few weeks to the longest I have seen is three months. Men are the ones that are stuck for long periods. Just stay positive and try not to dwell on not getting the visa ---- I know how you feel and was devasted when our case went into AP but NO ONE discussed it openly and I was lost until I spent countless hours researching and trying to keep timelines, facts, etc.

Ladies usually have a short AP, however I have been on AP for six months now with no visa in sight

Don't see any timeline which makes it hard to get a real average of the time it's taking for females.
