Hello everyone, I had my interview this morning and it went smooth. The consul said my visa is approved and it will be delivered in 1-2weeks. But when I checked on CEAC Tracker, the status is refused. Who else has experience like this? I'm anxious right now and until the status change to Issued 😓

We experienced the same thing and the problem turned out to be an AKA NBI.  For us this resulted in a disaster that took over 18 months to correct with COVID and ST. Lukes presenting obstacles at every turn.  The frustrating part is the lack of communication with the Embassy.  Let's hope that your administrative processing is a simple and easily correctable matter.

all visa are refused while going thru AP (which can be for additional security checks or just the time to actually print out the visa )

A lot of people get this status, it just means administrative processing. I'm sure it will change to issued soon, no worries :)

all our documents are good. but yesterday on pre-screening and my interview they both asked me if my medical is done? and I said yes. do you think St. Lukes haven't forwarded it yet? I undergo sputum by the way

I would double-check with the panel physician and confirm they have sent the medical exams to the consulate. Your visa won't be printed until the consulate has received it.

If they are still doing prescreening you would not be sent forward to the Consulate without the Physical.  That was the procedure in the past. You should be OK.

It's common for your CEAC status to be "refused" for a few days before your visa is printed and the status changes to "Issued". I would not worry about it. Congratulations on your visa approval.

i just hope thats the case 🥺 thank you!

The visa is never really approved until the status changes to issued, no matter what they say at the interview. After the interview they keep checking things and could run into stuff that makes you ineligible for a visa. Not saying that's what happens in your case, just saying that you need to wait for the "issued" status to know for sure if your visa was actually approved or not. For most people it only takes a few hours to a few days for the status to change to issued.

UPDATE:

As of October 6, 2022 my status is still refused. September 22, we sent an inquiry on Immigrant Visa Inquiry Form on why my status is refused. Found out that I was under 221g because my medical report didn't reflect on US Embassy system. September 28, my husband requested USEM to request a hardcopy of my medical from St. Luke's (no reply). October 4, he sent a follow-up inquiry and they said that they received my medical report on September 30 and referred the case to a Consular Officer.

Hi. Did you get the visa? After how long? Did it show issued?
