Do I write to VSC telling them I have already paid these fees?

My instinct would be to include a copy of the check or money order with which you paid the fees originally.

Others here may have had actual experience and can comment authoritatively.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Look up the case status # of your I-485 or RFE receipt #

First instinct is to say, don’t look a gift horse in the mouth…but not sure if we are dealing with a horse or a donkey…here.

Would be fabulous if inadmissibility finding was reversed post interview/ RFE issuance…

Case status still unchanged to fingerprint were taken in 2021

Then either you or your attorney needs to drop in to Field Office on InfoPass , carry the rejection letter and get some clarification…

Hello Everyone! Please I need your help.

I had my i-485 form returned by VSC. Their reason was the form I submitted was outdated and the filing fees were incorrect(both were current at the time when I began my AOS journey). I was directed in the notice to send the current form and include the accurate filing fees. Thing is, I included a copy of the letter I wrote to my FO putting my filed i-485 in abeyance when I filled my VAWA.

How do I proceed? Do I write to VSC telling them I have already paid these fees? Do I add the requested fees per the notice? I appreciate your advice. Thank you.

Hello! Can someone please help me? Thank you🙏

Is your VaWA I-360 already approved?  What date did you file the I-485 form that was rejected?

1. If you asked for first I-485 ( based on I-130) to be held in abeyance and now you have an approved I-360, then you did not need to refile I-485 again , just wait for them to re open it.

2. If you choose to file a new I-485 now, then you will need to do updated form and pay or do fee waiver.

What happens if USPS delivers mail to VSC on Saturday? Since VSC doesn’t work on Saturday and Sunday

It will be held by the USPS until it can be delivered to the VSC on the next regular delivery day.

As luck would have it.. USPS is gonna deliver my ead renewal 4 days earlier than their own estimate…. My ead expires 8/18/23 so 180 days prior is 2/19/23…. Looks like VSC will be receiving my ead renewal packet today on 2/17/23…. My forms are signed dated for 2/21/23… any idea what will happen? Anything like that has happened to anyone here before?

How do you make an expedite request to Vermont? Since confidentiality, do you just write a letter?

What are making a request for?  For EAD you need proof from employer and you can send the information to Vermont

I do not think that would be an issue. Since it is gonna be a long week end. USCIS will not process these until may be end of next week.

The same thing has happened to one of my cousins. USCIS did process his application as normal.

I figured as much. It would not make any sense for VSC to open up my packet and process it today when they have other stuff to do. It is not like they’re known to be super efficient or anything.

You filed a new l485 then you have to pay the fee or file a waiver not to pay the fee.You mentioned that  you filed before and they put on hold, but then you refiled then there is a fee.
