Your online status is supposed to have changed. I got mine about 3 weeks ago and responded a week after. Two days after delivery, my online status changed, and my case was approved yesterday. You may need to reach out to your senator. I did with my case.

Are you based in NYC?

Hello everyone,

I asked this for my friend. He married to USC 4 years ago, applied for AOS more than 3 years ago. The case was still pending.

His wife was cheating on him and had pregnancy with her ex-boyfriend while he was out of state for work.

Now they are preparing for divorce, and she applied to withdraw his cases already. He did not get any physical abuse at all.

Will he meet the requirement for filing WAVA in his situation? He asked some attorneys already. Some said could, some said could not file for WAVA.

That made him confused.

Any suggestion will be really appreciated.

cheating is not ground for VAWA. if there's no abuse or violation involve, i dont see any reason why he wants to go to that route.

Cheating does not qualify for VAWA, also he was not living in the home with her as he was out of state working.  He can call congressman and see why AOS is still pending after 3 years.

Hello friends.  I'm wondering when we submit vawa case does immigration do a security and background check on the applicant?  I'm not meaning  to the 485 form, nor good moral character.  Because when the case out of the normal processing time , the immigration responds that a case is under security check on the 360 form.  Is this really true or is it just a standard answer that uscis  writes to everyone. I have seen that they have a similar response on the 485 form as well, that 485 case is under security and background checks . Do they make the checks both applications separately?

It's Wednesday already, and time for our hilarious, spirit-lifting, approval-evoking (if correlation = causation) Semiweekly Semiofficial VAWA-Thread Joke:

INVITING A FRIEND OVER

With no warning, a husband said to his wife, "Honey, I have invited a friend home for supper tonight."

The displeased wife replied, "What?  Are you crazy?  The house is a mess, I didn't have time to go shopping, all the dishes are dirty, and I don't feel like cooking a fancy meal tonight!"

The husband said, "I know all that."

"Then why in the world did you invite your friend for supper tonight?" asked the wife.

"The poor fool is thinking about getting married."

Hi guys I filed i360 on December 10th 2020, I’ve got 3 prima facie and renewed my work permit. I did not receive any other update. Now I just received an update and asked my lawyer. Please give me some answers. I’m freaking out. What this could be!!?? Thank you family

I got similar update sometimes last week.

Just write a letter to your Congressman or Senator requesting help to get a copy from USCIS. I'm also waiting for their response. In most cases I'm told it will be a Prima Facie.

Good luck
