I got medical rfe a month ago, sent 693 and was received by uscis two weeks ago. Online status did not change, not when rfe was issue nor after 693 was received by uscis. Only confirmation I have is fedex delivery confirmation.

Is this normal? Is there anything I should do? Please advise.

Your online status is supposed to have changed. I got mine about 3 weeks ago and responded a week after. Two days after delivery, my online status changed, and my case was approved yesterday. You may need to reach out to your senator. I did with my case.

Good morning everyone! For those who follow my (painful at times) journey, I mentioned that I saw that my i-360 application has been approved 2 months ago, however the card was returned to the USCIS because my horrible lawyers moved and didn't notify the USCIS (I actually would be surprised if they were proactive about that). Anyways, now the case status website says that my card will be destroyed in January 2023. After trying to reach out to lawyers to have them change the address for mailing the card, they finally did... but by email. Is it possible the USCIS would change my address by my lawyers emailing them? Am I mistaking something, I thought it has to be done in a physical copy? Please let me know before I send them an angry email lol.

Also, this whole situation pisses me off and triggered past memory of them not appearing at my "hold in abeyance" interview with me. They basically didn't sign the representation form that I brought with me and said it will be fine. Didn't prep me and said to not say anything since she will lead the call. Well, to my great disappointment, the officer first forgot about me for 3 hours (I was sitting in that waiting room for that long being scared to ask about my turn to not "rush" them but eventually did). Then, the officer said I can't have my lawyers on phone cause they didn't sign rep form and proceeded to heavy interrogation. Well, I cried in that appointment so much but answered everything correctly and thanks to this forum knew to ask for abeyance of the document.

Anyways, thanks for listening. Do you guys know if I can hold my lawyer accountable in any form? I paid them $5k for the services and they only made everything way worse.

I swear to god , it happened to me , I sent them like you angry an email . One of my lawyer’s assistant said she is going to request again for this card ..( I got approved 2 months ago and that card is c31 work authorization crd)

I’m still waiting their job successfully done . I paid  7200$ total to them but when you are getting approval then you are forgetting how much you spent .)

Wow, I’m sorry you’re going through similar situation! Keep me updated. I think I will just update the address to my address on my own and then ask congressman to confirm it. Honestly, when that interview mess up happened, I was like a scared immigrant just sucking it up but now I was even considering letting them know that what they did is against Bar associations standards. I don’t really need the money that bad to go through the pain to try to get it back but out of principle that would make sense. Not sure how much stress I want though lol.

Let them update their address asap ! We paid them. they should clear whatever messed up by their hand . Let me tell you that I gathered together before vawa all my document and sent to my lawyer after 2 years not moving forward not single update on case app . I requested from them all submitted document .they emailed me copy of them , I checked by one by just believe me too many pages I didn’t see there . After that I resubmitted them with an explanation letter . After 2 months I got approved . .they just wanted to get rfe to charge me 1200 and they did that .  I can’t believe really..

Good morning people. I'm back again, I received an update today on my I- 485. My I-360 was approved on 08/09/2022 and my I-485 was transferred on the same date to NBC (got the transferred letter and the case approval letters the same time)

The update said initial case review and finger prints applied to the form. My question is my I-485 with NBC or my local office and also, what to expect next from this initial review.

Many thanks for thus great forum.

Hi All,

I just got this email update for my I485. Initial evidence request.

Please what might be the initial evidence? Does everyone receive this RFIE of late.

Will really appreciate your response

Information was still visible within screenshots initially posted just above, so the images were removed.

(Darker ink would have obscured that information better. :) )

It's Sunday -- time for our hilarious Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

===============================================
THE FORCED BAPTISM

Nick's mother stopped for a moment as her son read the Bible to their cat.  "Isn't that sweet?" she said.

However, an hour later, she heard a terrible racket.  Running out the door, she found Nick trying to dunk the cat in a bucket of water.

"Nick, what are you doing?!" she cried.

"I'm baptizing Muffin," he said.

"But cats don't like to be in water."

"Then he shouldn't have joined my church!"

:P

Anyone knows how long it takes to receive a i-601 receipt notice after filing ? I sent the package since November 9th, I’m waiting for that receipt notice to send it to my local office for final decision of my i-485

Usually 4 to 8 weeks why do you need to send the receipt to your local office uscis once the approved your waiver they will forward you file to your local office

My RFE says

«  file form i-601 waiver with the appropriate office and pay the appropriate fee; and after receiving a receipt notice, immediately send the receipt notice together with the RFE letter to the local office so that a final decision can be made on your case »

looks like it’s the same officer who interviewed me for i-485 who will make the decision on both i-485 and i-601 because he will be able to see the file in the system
