So based on what USCIS says you went to get marriage license with a different woman, few days after meeting the US citizen wife? That seems weird, I can understand why they're confused and suspicious. You and your lawyer have a steep hill ahead. Good luck!

My lawyer sent the vawa to Vermont first, it was returned saying sent to wrong address and Vermont advised to sent it to texas as my receipt number starts src. My lawyer sent it to texas to the correct address with no RFE in it and got a notice of rejection with Vermont address. And submitted that notice saying “application not needed” to local office and my i485 was denied that I didn’t properly file my vawa because lawyer forgot to include RFE And,  after filing 290b and received RFE for VAWA again and we mailed it to texas again with the receipt notice in it and Vermont processed my check, we  sent the receipt notice that to local office and waiting for the decision now

You are a model of calm , faith , hard work and determination.

..not to mention sharp and cunning skills of staying on top of baffling and sophisticated excuses lawyers can give one to cover their ###-ets :liability 😂

Nice recap

Hello fam,

I hope everyone is doing well, I recently received an RFE, and just wanted to what is the opinion of all the experienced members. Is it doable?

Not doable . Little to zero weight will be given to a statement from you and even if a new neighbor offers something ..it won’t overcome the meticulous record of FDNS investigation .
Don’t know what the attorney promised you..but be careful in crafting response …devils in the details and they are going to comb through everything with a fine tooth comb

This sounds like a Notice of Intent to Deny. That is totally different than a RFE. You will need an attorney.

It’s been 10 days now and no denial notice for me. Has anyone dealt with missing mail here? After I fill out online form to resend the mail do they extend my deadline for the response? I heard I only have 30 days since the first notice. Thank you.

Hi! I received a “courtesy approval notice and not an official approval notice". It’s printed in a regular A4 sheet of paper and not on a watermarked paper. Can I use this to apply yo i485? Or I have to wait for the original one? Is this normal? Do they usually send this? I’ve never heard about it. How long should I expect to receive the original one? Thank you 😊

GOOD SHORT ONES

PERSONAL AD

Looking for a married woman, recently cheated on, mad and scorned, who is willing to sell her husband's tools for cheap.

PHONE CALL

"Hello -- Animal Control?  I found a suitcase with a mother possum and 2 babies inside."

"Can you tell if they're moving?"

DIETER'S CONTEMPLATION

It amazes me how much "exercise" and "extra fries" sound alike.

i am not 100% sure, if check processed, it might be ok, in my believe, these different offices are just different process time, vermont take the longest, because you are freshly starting with vawa, IL want to save your time and process it same time with 485, TX is your last stage, and you already gone through bulk of wasting time, may be the quickest

Waivers cannot be sent to any address you choose.

Coming up two years since I filed VAWA which means my time should be soon… looking back I had only submitted my personal statement, along with evidence of bona fide marriage to US citizen, a screenshot of text message trying to show abuse, and a psychiatrist (who is trained on interviewing VAWA applicants / abuse survivors) report. In that report the doctor concluded that it is in her professional opinion that she found my statements of abuse to be truthful and I am medically diagnosed to be severely depressed and anxiety due to abuse. All that was what I sent to USCIS…. What are you guys’ honest opinion on my case being approved

Did the professional mention all the abuse you've experienced?
