hey fam, my 824 got approved so now I’m on the NVC process. I have some questions regarding the documents I will mail to the NVC

1-so after paying the fees on ceac, do I submit the ds-260 online? Then print out copies and mail them? Will I need to upload the passport size photo on the online ds-260 or just mail the photos to them?

2- for the passport size photos, do I also mail few photos in the envelope package mailed to the NVC or will I just submit the photo digitally when filling out the ds-260?

How many copies of these photos do I need to mail them?

(When I did the student visa back then I remember uploading the digital photo on the visa application then taking few of them to the interview with me, so I wanna make sure if I have to mail the photos to the NVC in the envelope package or take them to the interview with me)

3- and for the i864w, do I fill out and sign it with a pen and mail them the original or just copies?

thank you fam, if you have any advice or info or other important documents you can think of to mail them to the NVC let me know

Firstly, the payments must be accepted and processed before you can sign up the ds260 forms. After, you will need to fill out the i864w forms, hand sign and mail it along with the required documents. You received a list of these documents plus a cover sheet with a barcode in the welcome letter.

You will have to wait for your welcome letter with instructions and your checklist. Then you will have to pay the fees and then wait for it to be accepted. Complete the DS-260 and follow instructions on where to send the documents. After DQ your file gets sent to embassy after they send NVC an interview date. Then you schedule medical and attend interview.

Hoorah!  It's Wednesday already... and time for our approval-evoking*, good-news-prompting* Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

     *if correlation = causation

=============================================

RESTAURANT JOKES

"Waiter!" shouted the woman at the restaurant.  "There's a rubber band in my soup!"

"Naturally," said the waiter.  "You told me to bring you soup and make it snappy."

"Waiter!" snarled the diner.  "Why is my food mashed into pulp?"

"Well, sir, when you ordered your meal, you told me to step on it."

"Waiter!" yelled the woman at the restaurant.  "Will my hamburger be long?"

"No, ma'am," said the waiter.  "The hot dogs are long.  The hamburgers are round."

"Waiter," said the customer, "there's no chicken in this chicken salad."

"Of course not, sir.  You don't get cat in cat food, do you?"

In Alaska, a man and a polar bear walked into a restaurant.

"Do you serve Eskimos?" the man asked the nervous waiter.

"C-certainly we d-do."

"Great!" said the man.  "I'll have lobster, and bring an Eskimo for my friend here."

Walking into his cave, the cannibal looked at the bare bones scattered around.

"Am I late for dinner?" he asked his wife.

"Yes," she said.  "Everybody's eaten."

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

hi fam, for anyone who did follow to join or consular processing through vawa,

do we have to pay the $120 affidavit of support fee on ceac ?

I thought vawa petitioners are exempt from the affidavit of support fee, but someone who’s also doing vawa through consular processing just told me that we still have to pay the $120 affidavit of support fee on ceac not just the $205 application fee.

They finally received the medical, I am now on edge. Can you share how long you had to wait?

About 10 days, as a matter of fact a day before I got approval, I had gone to send another copy of my medical with signature required because I was afraid usps lost my package lol. You are so close now.
