Sunday means our approval-evoking*, good-news-prompting* Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

*or at least lucky and certainly funny

===================================

DUMB JOKES

What was the first thing that Count Dracula wanted to see when he visited New York City?

The Vampire State Building.

Client:  Doctor, can you help my dog?  He chases sports cars.

Veterinarian:  Most dogs do that.

Client:  But mine catches them and buries them in the back yard.

Sarah:  Will you forget me when the school year is over?

Allison:  Of course not!

Sarah:  Knock, knock.

Allison:  Who's there?

Sarah:  See?  You forgot me already!

Teacher:  Your spelling is getting much better, Jim -- only 5 mistakes that time.

Jim:  Thank you.

Teacher:  Now, let's go on to the next word.

Teacher:  Tell me something important about the scientists of the 18th Century.

Student:  They're all dead!

:P

Hello Sandra,

How long it usually takes for security or background check ? I'm getting same responds from uscis pending background check on my i485 since 2020 when my I360 got approved.

Also when is the pending i485 considered to be out of processing time nyc office?

Thank you !

I had cases that the background check took 3/4 years, and other cases  took a few months (4/6)

On March 14 I got an update that my I485 was transferred to a new office for faster processing. Since then there’s no update. I filed I360 in November 2019, no rfe, 5 primafacies. I did case enquiry online on both I360 annd I485 and the last 3 digits end with my city. It only responded processing within normal time.

I sent a notarized letter to Vermont August ending as that was the outside processing time but never got a response. I submitted an enquiry with my congressman for I360 and was told it now takes over 30months and my case is processing normally. I’m asked to wait till next year for outside processing time request,

Does anyone have similar experience?
If you submit online enquiry for I360 does it return your city for the last 3.

Hey, haven’t been here in a while so forgive any rustiness. I360 takes time just be aware of that and also they do not respond to you personally due to the nature of the petition. You are obviously still within processing time. I’ve always advised folks here since 2018 to be patient even though I know the feeling..been through it. Good thing no RFE so far maybe next update will be approval. The updates you had so far are all standard procedures nothing out of the ordinary. Hold on just a little bit longer. Your day is coming fam!👍

Thank you for the response but is it common to have I485 transferred to NBC before VAWA approval?
