GONNA GET SOME WORK DONE

A middle-aged woman had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital.  While on the operating table, she had a near-death experience.  She saw God, and asked if "this was it."

God said "No," and explained that she had another 30 or 40 years to live.

Upon her recovery, the woman considered God's words and decided to stay in the hospital.  She got a facelift, liposuction, breast augmentation, a tummy tuck, and other cosmetic improvements.  She even had someone come in and change her hair color.

After healing from the final operation, she walked out of the hospital and was killed by an ambulance speeding toward the hospital.  She arrived in front of God and said, "I thought You said that I had another 30 to 40 years!"

"Oh," said God.  "I didn't recognize you."

Good evening

How long after i360 approval I should expect to have my i485 transferred/or any update?

Thank you

The transfer usually takes 20/30 days,  but USCIS is messy and rarely updates regarding the transfer.

Its over 4 months since my Vawa approval but they have not transferred my I-485 to local office, in an inquiry last month they said my application is at NBC.

The VAWA petition once  approved, it goes from Nebraska or Vermont to the NBC, and from the NBC to the local office. They should transfer the petition soon.

Please help me.

What format can I write the letter in, what do I need to attach with it and make sure is in the mail? I was supposed to receive a prima facie extension but I haven't even though I always got one when I had an attorney.

Also should I send it to their new address or the one on the mails they send me?

I am trying to write Vermont to tell them I need my mails forwarded to me instead of my former attorney. someone please help me

The letter should be sent to Vermont if you did not receive a notice regarding the transfer to Nebraska.

Has anyone here changed their name? I am having a hard time. I got married two weeks ago, my vawa was already approved. This time around I want to change my name to my husbands name. But the social security administration won’t let me. They said I need to change the name on my immigration document first, this takes like 19 months right now to get a new green card with a new name!
is everyone experiencing this? Would it be the same at the DMV to change my drivers license  as well? It just doesn’t seem reasonable to have to order a whole new green card and pay over $600 for the I-90 just to change my name to my husbands

Wednesday means that it's time for our hilarious, upvote-worthy Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

============================================

THE MARRIED COUPLE AND THE GENIE

A husband and wife in their sixties were coming up on their 40th wedding anniversary.  The husband, knowing that his wife loved antiques, bought a beautiful old brass oil lamp for her.

When she unwrapped it, a genie appeared.  He thanked them and gave each of them one wish.

The wife wished for an all-expenses-paid, first-class, around-the-world cruise with her husband.  Shazam!  Instantly, she was presented with tickets for the entire journey, plus expensive side trips, dinners, shopping, and more.

The husband, however, wished that he had a female companion who was 30 years younger.  The genie smiled.  Shazam!  Instantly the husband turned 93 years old.

GUYS VERY URGENT PLS HELP @Sandra G.

I received my i485 denial notice in the mail today (it’s been 28 days so I only have a few days left to respond) and I’m attaching what it says here. I have no clue what it’s about. Please help decipher! (I appeared alone to the interview to ask to hold i485 in abeyance). The rest of the text is just that I need to return my EAD card.
