Thank you, I am just skeptical because I have heard that you should travel only if you have at least 90 days on your visa

okay, in my recent enquiry with congressmen, USCIS responded that my file is at NBC (did not mention which one but the response was from Summit MO NBC) and they will ultimately be sending it to field office. I was confused where should I be sending the renewal of EAD or should I be sending to both the locations to be safe :)

Send to both. Better safe than sorry..

Submit to Vermont. I sent letters to both VSC and Lee's Summit. The response I got was from the VSC. To be safe, you can send to both.

Thanks, I just got my receipts. Sending copy packet to local FO.

you received approval for your 601? If yes, how much time it took?

Some foreign countries won't let you in (or, flights to those places won't let you board the plane) if you have... what is it... less than either 90 or 180 days's validity left on your U.S. passport.  I've always considered that to be a rip-off -- you pay for a 10-year renewal but get only 9.5 years' worth of use out of it.

The good news is that you can use an expired U.S. passport for land-crossings, but not for international air travel.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I do not have US passport, I will be travelling on my advance parole I am just wondering if I return a week before expiration date of my Advance parole combo card, is that going to be a problem.

Any passport, not just US passport. It's not about visa validity, it's about passport validity.

In addition, your advance parole is not same as a visa. You can return on the day it expires. But your passport should have 6+ months of validity, else you may not be allowed to board the plane.

Please help me.

What format can I write the letter in, what do I need to attach with it and make sure is in the mail? I was supposed to receive a prima facie extension but I haven't even though I always got one when I had an attorney.

Also should I send it to their new address or the one on the mails they send me?

I am trying to write Vermont to tell them I need my mails forwarded to me instead of my former attorney. someone please help me

I have to send renewal for my EAD C9. Where shall I send? As my I-485 is still pending and what i have read I should be sending it to Vermont. but recently I received an RFE for DOB certificate for my I-485 and that came in from NBC Summit MO. I never received any notification saying they are moving my file. So where shall I be filing the renewal of my EAD to vermont or Summit?

Second question is how safe it is to return to the USA on advance parole before a week of its expiry.

Thanks

You cannot travel on expired AP. Only EAD gets an extension not AP

Vermont. Lee summit is not a servicing center.

Hey Karman, hope you are holding up ok. Hi Everyone, I'm here to say thank you Jesus. I have seen a miracle with my own eyes. Won't go into details but long story short- my EAD expired Sept 20th. I had started my renewal process in February! Countless letters and calls to our friends at the USCIS, even congressman, no response. I was on the brink of insanity as I can not afford to lose my job. The miracle is I didn't lose my job, HR found a clause that enabled me to keep working without a renewed EAD.

Randomly checked my case status today and saw new card being produced for my EAD. Note to TBone- jokes work. They really do!

Same here, I applied for a renewal 6-months before in March. I've been working on the extension slip since Sep 30th, being thankful and praying everyday to stay sane.

Good day everyone, It’s been over 2 months since I submitted renewal documents for form I-765 &I-131 to Vermont Center and I’m still yet to receive my receipt notice. Would like to know if this is normal and how long is it taking to get a receipt notice for renewals sent to Vermont.  Please advice
