Hello Family, I hope everyone is doing great.

I had I-485 interview on May 17th, it went great but then they issued a medical rfe same day, I sent the medicals in and they received it on 31st May 2023,

There hasn't been any update online except that the RFE was issued?

can anyone tell me how much longer it might take? Should I call the USICIS just to inquire or perhaps make an info pass?

It's been over a month without any update or news/

I would say give them 30 more days then if you don't hear anything then make an info pass appointment. Hopefully you will hear before that. Best of luck.

Hi Fam!
i applied i485,i765 and i131 together (3 different receipt numbers) last December and later in March showed it was transferred to local office. There was no update after March until today I checked the case status saying

New Card Is Being

Produced

On July 6, 2023, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number …. , and will mail it to the address you gave us.

Can anyone tell me what this means and I checked only one of the receipt numbers. The rest two of receipts said

April 23, 2023 Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken.

TIA 🙏🙃

@TBoneTX any insight on this pls? Thnk u as always

I think it's your EAD/AP C09

Because if this was the green card approval, that update would have appeared on your form I-485.

It's the EAD/AP  C09  cards production. The Form I-485 has not been updated as card approved.

Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉

I believe it was rejected first time because my lawyer didn’t include the RFE notice in the package. She defended herself, but I know the mistake was hethe attorney is so incompetent that  she didn’t submit the RFE along with the waiver then you should  question if your if your attorney is capable to handle a case involving waiver .

Thanks!

I should receive an RFE because I sent very little evidence of abuse in the beginning. I wanted to send all the evidence I have but my attorney says we should wait for the RFE so we can respond according to the RFE

Any insights on this?

"I want to go travel and see my parents but I feel like I'd be taking a risk even with the AP." And I also got a simple dui earlier this year (I wrote about it in detail in an earlier post as to how it happened, something I'm not proud of and my ongoing depression and PTSD contributed to it). I had to pay $500 in fine and the case was disposed of without any probation etc. I don't know if that would affect the travel on AP.

Appreciate your advise.

If you are not in removal proceedings and you never applied for asylum then you will be fine traveling abroad .

What i would do is to make a info pass appointment to find out status of i-485 and i would confirm from them what address do they have.

Contact your congressperson to inquire on your behalf.

It's Sunday -- time for our Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

=============================================

PERFECT LOGIC

A man ran up to a peasant and dropped a bag of gold into his arms.

"What's this?" asked the peasant.

"It's gold!  I'm Robin Hood!  I rob from the rich and give to the poor!"

"Hooray!" shouted the peasant.  "Now I'm rich!"

Robin Hood took out his sword.  "In that case, hand it over!"

"Care to join me in a cup of tea?" asked Mrs. Shanks when her friend Mrs. Prickley arrived at her home.

"Certainly," Mrs. Prickley replied, looking down at the cup.  "But do you think we'd both fit?"

After watching a science-fiction movie, Johnny asked his friend, "What do you think would happen if your whole left side was disintegrated by a laser beam?"

Thinking for a moment, his friend replied, "You'd be all right."

:P
