Wednesday -- time for our hilarious, highly effective Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

==============================================

REALITIES OF MARRIAGE

Before you marry someone, you should make them use a computer with slow Internet to see who they really are.

My husband told me to pick up some engine oil.  Now I know how guys feel in the tampon aisle.

My wife made me coffee this morning and winked at me when she handed me the cup.  I've never been more scared of a drink in all my life.

Never laugh at your wife's choices.  YOU were one of them.

If at first you don't succeed, try doing it the way your wife told you.

Every time you talk to your wife, you should always remind yourself:  "This conversation will be recorded for training and quality purposes."

My wife and I have been married so long, she can finish my sentences.  She also starts most of them and supplies the middle parts, too.

My buddy asked if he could crash on my couch tonight.  I had to explain to him that I'm married now, and that's where I sleep.

:P

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

Yeah another long wait

Not really.

Ones your file is transferred from Vermont to the NBC, if everything is okay and your medical updated, it's over!

It will be even faster than you think.

Trust in God through Jesus-Christ his son always and he will direct your paths 🙏

How long after approval did it take for your case to be transferred?

After 46 months, 2 weeks and 2 days of patiently waiting. With so many PFs that I can’t even remember. And my derivative being issued GC and an N400 in (she got in the army), they decided to send RFE on my I360 today. What in the world could it be please? And how long does it take for me to receive the actual letter?

I checked it again, it’s a Request for Additional Evidence. I never received an initial RFE. Has anyone ever been in this boat before please?

Hello house, I applied for VAWA I-360 since 2021. My original I-485 pd is July 20, 2020. I keep receiving PF's every now and then. Since I am about to finish my Bachelor's degree. would it be worth it to have my company file for a H1-b visa, if my vawa is still pending  ?

May I kindly asked you.

What is your aim by applying for a H1-b visa when you have a  C09/AP card with a pending I-485?

Guess you are trying to adjust your status through vawa!

Thanks

Hello Family,

I hope everyone is doing well, My VAWA was approved MARCH 28TH 2022, MY I-485 moved to nbc in September 2022 and they issued the Deficiency for medical in September 2022. it just stated that medicals are missing and I don't have to do anything, they either request them to be sent In or ask them at interview.

since it has moved to NBC in September, there hasn't been any update on the case, it's been 6 months already. anybody in same boat or perhaps know what should I do or just wait?

I was under the impression once it is at nbc, it will take less time.
