Hello all,

is anyone who updates address after got the green card under VAWA? Can just submit the online tools at USCIS? Or need to write AR -11 mail to VSC ?

thank you!

I have mailed AR-11 to VSC but they rejected to update my address. They asked me to use online or call to update address…. I feel confused

Write a letter requesting to change your Safe Address Designation …and send it to VSC, include a copy of your I-360 and say you want them to update all associated applications ( I-485/I-765/I-131)
AR-11 forms bounce back much like you experienced.

Hello Family
@sandranj @Stillwinning!!!😊 @Demise

My I360 was received by USCIS on December 01 2020, but since than there is no update on my case. It only shows FEE WERE WAVED

Any idea how long this my take for USCIS to process the application.

I think mine took a year and some months…nearly two years to see some processing. Patience helps, also contacting representatives only when the case is outside normal processing time is effective as well. Sometimes people just go through the whole process without a single RFE. Let’s hope yours goes smoothly.🎉😊

You mentioned that your application for address update was sent back and that you were told to update online or call? Did they actually write to say all these? I’m perplexed as that’s unlike Vermont. Usually you write to them attaching your AR-11… update me me please I’ve probably gone rusty from prolonged absence.😏

Forgive me but I did not read that you ALREADY have a green card.

If you are an LPR you do normal AR-11 filing ..address is on form or do it online

VSC / safe address is only for pre LPR stage

I did sign a AR -11 mailed to VSC on 10/25/2022 … but they rejected it and asked me to do it online.

On USCIS website: see the screenshot.

is means the approved I-485 also must mail the AR-11 , can not do online?

thank you!

Oh wow! I remember when I relocated almost two years ago, I changed my address online and then I got worried recently if I did the right thing as vawa petitioners, if I recall correctly  are supposed to write and all that… I even sent in a physical letter few weeks ago and didn’t or haven’t received my  package back... yet! Also to be triple sure, I called uscis and the officers were telling me to write to Vermont since they can’t speak about anything concerning vawa over phone..they wouldn’t even confirm what address I had there… doing all these because I’m set to file N-400💁🏻‍♀️

Believe me, this was what got me concerned as well…but I guess the overarching/overriding mandate lies with the most recent communication from Vermont.👍
