Hello Everyone!

I'm done with the biometrics, last july 9, 2007 . I just wonder if i can apply for a job, they sent me a reciept notice of I-765 employment authorization document.? I still dont have the EA CARD and the GREEN CARD.as well as the interview notice..Could I apply for a job now???

About the removing of conditions, should we apply for this before green card? Is it ok? What about the travel/re-entry permit,is it ok to apply in advance??? or I should wait till my greencard comes?

by the way, Iam a K-1 visa holder.

pls.help....

You can't work until you physically have the EAD, but you can still look for a job. Just know your employer legally can't hire you unless you possess an EAD. The receipt notice only means they got your application for EAD, not that you have an EAD or that you will definitely be granted one. You don't apply to remove conditions until 2 years (minus 90 days, so 90 days before your greencard expires which will I guess technically be 1 year and 9 months) after you receive your green card.

As posted, you could start job hunting with the assumption a soon-to-be employer would be interested about the time you receive either your GC or the EAD. You didn't post a time line - if your AOS interview is coming up soon it may well beat the arrival of your EAD. The only slow down might be a name/background check. We found that the EAD application, in our case, was a waste of $$, since Maria's AOS interview came and went faster than any final EAD paperwork. Your AOS approval triggers the mailing of the 2-yr conditional green card and this is just as good/better than the EAD. Maria and our 16-year-old (the latter for summer/parttime work) are currently looking as we await the mailed cards.

This is not true. You can work if you have an approved EAD, if it hasn't arrived yet you have 90 days from signing your I-9 to show it to your employer.
