Case Transfer from Poland to Armenia

Hey guys,

I'm having trouble contacting the US embassy in Armenia and getting an answer on whether they'll accept my fiance's case transfer.

The non-immigrant inquiries email told me to contact immigrant inquiries email despite the k-1 being a non-immigrant visa, and the immigrant inquiries email isn't responding to my emails despite follow ups and calls (which never lead to anything)

Can someone tell me where I report this? Because it seems like they're deliberately beating around the bush.

My fiance has Armenia residency, work permit, and currently lives in Armenia. This should be a guaranteed transfer acceptance, right?

K1 visas are processed by the immigrant visa unit.

How long ago did you initially email them to request transfer?

where is your case currently?

It should be accepted for transfer based on this

September 7th I sent an email, I sent a follow up 5 days after, and I'm still waiting on a response.

My case is in Poland right now, Poland is the designated processing location for Russian K-1 visas. I had paid the fee and everything, and now I have to cancel our interview date...

Also that's great news! I just need the embassy to respond and accept, then I can ask the Polish embassy to transfer our case to Armenia :P

Sorry but that’s not that long ago. I wouldn’t start complaining just yet. Back when my case was received by the consulate and I received no packet 3 after a week of waiting, I reached out and waited about 3 weeks for a response.

I have packet 3. My case is in Poland right now. I'm trying to get a transfer.

I know. I’m talking about the response time of the consulate…..

Bottom line is September 7 is not that long ago. You’re just going to have to patiently wait for a response. US consulates are generally not known for prompt replies.

Well it's september 27th, they still haven't responded to any of my emails or follow up emails. Calling doesn't help, and the other consulate emails I've contacted have responded and told me they can't do anything and to contact immigrant visa inquiries.

Funny how I can get a response from every department except the one that I need a response from... I absolutely believe I should get a response within 5 business days, even a machine response...

uzbekistan: Case Transfer Inquiries – We are currently experiencing a high backlog of immigrant visa cases, and our limited resources are devoted to cases originally assigned to our post. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept routine case transfer requests at the moment.

Armenia:

> There are no interview appointments available in my country, may I try to apply in U.S. Embassy, Yerevan?

> Most U.S. Embassies and Consulates have limited resources available for processing visa applications; consequently, they are prioritizing the applications of citizens and legal permanent residents of their country. Embassy Yerevan does not accept case transfers from other posts.

> We do not routinely process immigrant visas for Russian and Ukrainian citizens.  The U.S. Department of State has designated the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw and U.S. Consulate in Frankfurt to process immigrant visas for residents of Russia and Ukraine.

Yeah I guess let's hope el Salvador accepts us

He has temporary Armenian residency through his work permit. I'm surprised at the unprofessionalism of the Armenian immigrant visa department! I had to email their Iranian immigrant inquiries to get my denial 🤪

I've emailed Mongolia too, and Bosnia and Herzegovina gave me a soft denial - yes, but only if he has Bosnian residency! (They said if NVC has already transferred his case to Poland, they can only request a transfer if my fiance is a Bosnian resident). 🤔😭

I have NO idea how my fiance will enter Poland, I don't trust that he'll "technically be allowed in if he enters from Germany" or something...

I'll be updating here which consulates deny a transfer I guess 🤪
