Hello beautiful people

How many tax return they require for sponsoring spouse visa?

Because for 2021 I didn't make enough money, but before that I was good.

For this year so far I am doing good in my check and hopefully soon I will pass 24000 dollars of income

Do you think that's enough?

You have needed to file taxes the previous 3 years.  You need to provide the latest tax return.  Previous years 2 and 3 tax returns are optional.

The qualification will be based on CURRENT income, not the tax return income.  You will need to provide proof of current income (pay stubs) and current salary (pay stub amount calculated to a year -- for example, if payed weekly then the pay amount x 52).

The totality of your circumstance will be reviewed by the CO, and he/she may approve or may require you to get a joint sponsor.  The 125% poverty limit is just a guideline - it is the minimum amount required to qualify for consideration.

Note that your current income is not your year to date income. It's how much you will make during the next 365 days going forward based on your current rate of pay.  The tax section is about the past.
