Using assets for the I864. Can I black out my purchases, etc?

Hello All! So, I am of the mind that my purchases and deposits are not the business of the State Department and so I will black out all that info. I will send a bank statement from 2020, 2021, and the most current, to show that my balances have been there since 2020. I also plan to black out my account numbers. Would ya'll consider this acceptable, or have you done it, or can I at least just black out my account numbers and leave all my transactions visible to them? Like I said, I really don't think to see when I go to Kroger and how much I spend, or when I have gone to Target, etc. is something NVC needs to see, BUT I could be wrong.  Am I being too stingy with my transaction information? I AM LEAVING the balances to my accounts visible, obviously, and they can see how those balances have changed from one year to the next.

Any opinions on this or if you used assets and proved it through your bank statements, did you also black out things?

Thank you in advance!

i don't think officers have time to go thru the list and check your purchases

Thank you for the replies. I decided to just black out my account numbers. I just hope these NVC employees are honest and will not steal very personal information.

Thank you @pushbrk, my credit union shows all the transactions. I decided to black out my account numbers only. And yes, I was probably overthinking it, I tend to do that lol. Thanks again!

My bank statement shows all the transactions also, but one of the pages of mine and many other bank statements shows only the name, address and balances.  Look closely and you might find you have a single page like that too.
