Marriage certificate

Hey everyone! 
my fiance recently arrived to the US with k1 visa and we got married a few weeks ago still waiting for the marriage certificate. 

My question is can we apply for the status adjustment without the physical marriage certificate or do we have to wait for it? It takes about 8 weeks to come in the mail.  I have a form signed that says we got married which we got during the ceremony. Can I include this as proof that we got married or do we need to wait for the marriage certificate?

Hmmm why didn’t you get married in a county with faster processing?

 

Can you pick up the certificate at the county office?

I did not know other counties have faster processing times. I thought 8 weeks is just the standard. Isnt it? 
 

Also, I dont know if picking it up is going to save us time since the processing is taking time essentially and not the shipping

No. Utah County is same day. Vegas is same day.

Call and ask if you can have it expedited for immigration purposes.
