 What a great surprise this morning.

So far today I've filled out the Bio data form and leaving the rest for a bit (I tire easily).... But all looks "ok." We were looking at the medical instructions though and it says THEY choose where I go and that it takes 2 days now to get the results...so looks like we're gonna have to make 3 trips to london....1 for the medical, 1 for the interview and 1 to heathrow if approved. According to our packet 3 it has I-134 gets sent back with all the rest they supplied....but I have to wait for my co-sponcer and fiance to send them back to send off packet 3 ...so hmm....

Wish us luck!

Btw the whole packet 3 came with 2 staples through them....we haven't unstapled them incase....is this right?

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

I am afraid what you say is true, they have updated the way they do medicals and they are no longer on the same day as your interview. I am from Newcastle and have to make multiple trips.

I did my medical on Wednesday and I think all went well. I flew to Heathrow in the morning, got the Tube to the medical centre and flew back on the evening. An overall cost of around £100(cheaper than driving and a hotel) not including the medical of £160. I didnt take out my staples but i did remove the sheets they didnt need back.

Hope this helps, good luck.

I have a few other questions if any UKers can shed some light.

1. Do we keep these staples in....they tell US not to use them but they have? They hold all the forms together....

2. My co-sponser and sponser are filing in a downloaded verson of the I-134 each...there is one included stapled into packet three....do we rip this out because it will remain blank and may cause some confusion

3. Theres some form with a barcode on it....I remember filling this in online once because it needed the barcode.... the instructions don't say in packet 3 to go online to get the barcode of this form they've included so I can only assume they'll give me that at the interview?

4. Do I send back the instructions too? If we keep the staples in they are stapled with them too....

So you guys know ( :D whoever follows our case) I emailed the London embassy today and asked about the medical/interview not being on the same day anymore and if there was anyway at all due to our circumstances they could aid us... Not expecting them to say yes but can do but ask. I also asked about having my caregiver at the medical and interview....if she'd need a special pass and about disabled access at the embassy. All posted in other threads. So  waiting for a responce. Pray its positive. Ty all for your continues help...

good luck and congrats so far. I would have thought they would be legally obligated to do everythign they can to help you if you are disabled. From all i have read the embassy are very friendly. I sure do hope so.

Sorry i can`t help with your questions really as you are ahead of me but i would imagine that they will assume a blank form is the not the one to look at. Then again they might not be so smart. ha.

good luck anyway.

Take the staples out.

You're not sending any of these forms in except the 'ready to interview' one (and the visa app? follow the instructions). You'll need them to be separate so you can hand them over individually at the interview.

I would really pursue getting some special accomodation for your travel and situation. If you don't want to go in three trips, get them on your side to find a solution. If you don't ask (and ask and ask) you certainly won't get assistance spontaneously! :)

the instructions tell me that all forms they sent in the packet must be sent back asap...and the checklist later when everything is gathered...

You should send in your checklist ASAP, should really have been with the original packet. They won't begin processing it without the checklist.

They say when everything is gathered in case your interview comes say in two weeks and you still haven't gotten your police certificate and other official documents you may need, but seeing as it takes them 4-6 weeks or more to issue an interview date most people can send in the checklist straight away and still have time to gather all of their documents.
