Hi

I and my wife gathered all the information and it's all set to go to Immigration Office for the adjustment of staus of mine, but we having a issue of I864(sponsor) since there is no one to help us as a sponsor and my wife had not working for last one and half year she cant sponsor me..........now my question is she(wife) back to working and she makes enough money to sponsor me but she has this job since last 2 months only (it's a new job)...can we use my wife's pay checks for last two months as a sponsor???????i know this is hard i still wanted to know from someone who has gone through this difficulty...........need your suggestions.........all help will be appreciated...Thank you

If the pay stubs are all you have that is current, then yes, use them. An employer letter would be good too. You'll have more evidence available at interview. Adding past tax returns showing prior good income are also good to include.

Attach copies of all pay stubs, and get a letter from employer stating that it is a permanent job, with annual salary, and nature of the job. She still needs to attach an IRS return for 2006, if she did not file one even a "ZERO" return, she will have to attach a letter explaining why one was not filed, or file one late, people do get RFE for not attaching an IRS return.

Also you don't go to the immigrations office to file unless you live in the Dallas, or Oklahoma City, El Paso Areas everything gets mailed to Chicago

Right, the 2006 tax return is required but if 05 and 04 look better, I'd put them in the package too. Mailing mine in an hour.
