Cutting it Close with I-751 Submission

Hi all,

 

My conditional permanent residency card expires on 09/24 and I'm going to overnight my package with FedEx tomorrow. I don't know why I had thought I had until October 24th.

Has anyone else done this before and do you think it will be an issue? I'm feeling quite anxious right now. I am from Ireland and my wife is American.

It should be fine. Just make sure everything is complete and accurate, so that they don't return the package (especially sign the form and check the payment)

It won't be an issue. The important thing is they will receive it before the "deadline" (9/24), it makes no difference if they receive it 89 days before the green card expires or 1 day before it expires.

 

They also accept late filings anyway, with an explanation.

Hey guys! Just wanted to come back here and say that I got notification today that the USCIS received my case on September 19th and that the official receipt notice will follow in the mail! Thanks for your support on this post, it really helped ease my anxiety!
