Hello everyone,

Silly questions, i know...but still, i'm confused.

I got my packet3, working on collecting everything and filling out the forms.

1) What do i mail back to the US Embassy (islamabad, pakistan) ??

a) Just the checklist (signed and dated on the back)----(i read that that's wat u do, somewhere

here on this site--just wanted to double check)

b ) everything ON the checklist? (make myself copies and keep 'em for my record)

2) Do i use the electronic DS-156 for available from http://evisaforms.state.gov or should i use the one that was in the packet3?? wch is preferred?b]

3) a quick summary before the 3rd question: My country of nationality is Pakistan. I grew up in saudi arabia, lived there till age 15. I left there and went to PA, USA for highschool for 3 years. It was a boarding school. I would attend each year from:

September till mid-December (then go back to saudi arabia for 2.5 weeks vacation) Xmas break

2nd week of Jan till first week of March(then go back to saudi arabia for 2 weeks vacation) Spring break

April till June (end of school year and back to saudi arabia for 3 months) Summer break

After 3 years of highschool in america, i returned to saudi arabia for a few weeks before finally coming back to pakistan (for which i got my police certificate).

So really, i never resided in either Saudi Arabia or America for more than 12 months at a time. The longest i stayed in either country (both of which are not my country of nationality) for 3 months approx. So would i need a police certificate from either Saudi arabia or america?[/

Well that's all i can think of right now. Aaargh, can't figure out all this bold/italics stuff, sorry abt that folks... anyways, I'll appreciate all the answers i can get. Thank you, in advance!

Follow the instructions on your checklist. Usually the embassy requires that you only need to send the checklist and perhaps one or two forms listed on the checklist, but that's dependent on each embassy.

For your DS-156, use the most current version which can be found online.

As your police certificate, you should probably get one for the time that you were attending boarding school, as the total amount of months you stayed there exceeds a year.
