In the USCIS website the processing time just changed from 13.5 months process to 14 months. Do you think processing time will keep increase?

TL; DR: YES for now but check back at the end of Oct.

I have been monitoring the data from VJ members and from scans of the USCIS site for 6 months. Unfortunately the short answer to your question is yes the time is continuing to increase until USCIS processes at least as many cases daily as the average daily number in the backlog.  At this time they are processing somewhat more than half that number of new cases.

One encouraging note is that starting in August they seem to be closing significantly more cases older than 14 months, of which there are many.  This is a precursor to taking on more new cases.

The new fiscal year starts Oct 1 and if there is any hope they will meet the self imposed target of 6 months backlog by the end of FY 2023 they will have to process nearly two months of backlog in every month. If they start such a ramp up we will see the results quickly.

Thanks for the data. The silver lining is that the % trend is monotone increasing: 45, 53, 59, 77

23Q1 will be very interesting:

Yes, just consider unselecting "statistics and data" in favor of "processing times".

It's actually like this: 58%, 77%, 44%, 53%

The data started at the 3rd quarter of fiscal year 2021 and ended at 2nd quarter FY22.

 It's actually 59% --> 77% --> 45% --> 53% as Q3 and Q4 were for 2021 and Q1 and Q2 were for 2022.

The next report due out is Q3-2022 covering April through June of 2022. It's likely to be posted mid-October 2022.

Thank you

I wish I had a crystal ball for you :)

Let's wait for the Q3 2022 report. That's where we get to see if "4,000 new USCIS hires" were myth or reality.

I'm just going to throw this out there even though you have said it won't work for you.

The Utah online wedding is simple. You get a license, set a date within 32 days of getting the license, you both get on the zoom call at that date and time (you can be in separate countries as long as you can get on the zoom call), the officiant they provide marries youb in minutes (took us all of 15 minutes from start to finish), and in about 10 minutes you get the electronic marriage certificate and in a week you get the paper copy. I'm the eyes of the United States you are now husband and wife. Fly to wherever you can both meet up and "consummate" the marriage (take lots of pictures). Fly back to the USA and file for the spousal visa.

I don't know what the laws in Japan are about marriage but none of that applies in a US wedding. I married a Filipina and we have to report the marriage to the Philippines government only so she can legally change her name there. We just got married on 9/14. Hope this
