itself long before "our financial support." When Israel became an independent

country, the US joined the embargo on weapons sales to Israel -- the 1949

Tripartite Agreement on weapons. The US sold hundreds of millions of dollars

in weaponry to Arab states during the 1950s and early 1960s - but NOTHING to

Israel until 1962.

The 1967 Arab-Israeli (Six-Day) war was won by Israel without anyone's help.

America didn't help one bit, even though Israel asked for help.

My point is that you can't compare the relatively successful recovery of the Jews from the Holocaust with the apparent cultural failure of Blacks to successfully integrate into the rest of society.
