Hello All,

So I have applied with USCIS for 1-30 and its almost a year on September 23 that we submitted our case but have yet to hear back. Is there a reason its taking so long for the case to process? I have seen several other people timeline and they got approved in months but ours is taking a very long time. The case status website says Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS as of February 15 of this year. Any advice on what we can do to expedite our case in any way. TIA

There are always more than 1,000,000 I-130s pending in the pipeline.  The queue is long. Every case requires scrutiny by human eyes.  USCIS has a process in place to request an expedite if your case qualifies..... but it won't be fast.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

The I-130 I filed took about 13 months to process, would love to hear from someone who did it in 2-3 months. Where did they send the bribe money too? Interview at the embassy is Next month. 13 months at USCIS, about 3-5 months for NVC, then another 1-2 for the embassy stage. I got lucky there,  they scheduled the interview in less than a month, but interview was still 6 weeks from date they scheduled it.

sometimes it just takes longer to search thru all the records when a  last or first name in a country is used over and over

like Khan in Pakistan

Patel in India

Smith in the US

and first names like Mohamed and Khadija

if your name matches one of a person that is already in the system it can slow down AN ALREADY SLOW SYSTEM

Wow, it is only taking a couple months to get a interview at the embassy in Pakistan, there is a year wait in Jamaica! I would pray for a couple months!

According to the USCIS processing times Vermont is the slowest at 16 months . Ca and Neb are supposed to be 10 mon. Potomac is supposed to be 12.

file k-3 its free and doesn’t hurt to try it’ll help process your 1-130 faster mines was approved within five months. Because you will be waiting a very long time for interview at embassy in Pakistan probably over 17 months or so

I have seen Some I-130 Applications NOA2 is of 2 to 3 months if I-130 Filled date is after May 2022.

dose USCIS approve I-130 fast ?

Thats what i'm wondering too. I have seen I-130 approved for some people that filed way later than I did at the same service center. It doesn't make sense that some cases are prioritized and others not.
