My fiance is supposed to go for his medical soon. However, we're both very afraid that it's going to cause problems. He is still suffering sypmtoms of exhaustion and sickness. Even though his orginal issue(cancer) has been resolved for now. The symptoms he is having now is something that can go on indefinitely from what we understand. We're really scared they're going to deny him because of this.

First of all I'm wondering if anyone knows .....will he most likely still have to go to the interview and let them decide this or does the doctor make a decision right then and there in a case like this?

Secondly, if he is denied either at the medical exam or embassy....is there anyway to fight this or is that it for having him come here?

Sigh....we are so, so stressed out :(

From what the Dr. told me he has a set of guidelines that he uses to either pass or fail the patient. He told me right at the interview that I was approved (pending the bloodwork results). He was very good at being up front with me and letting me know that if there was something wrong with the blood work or x-ray he would phone me immediately and let me know. Have you talked to the Dr. who is going to do the medical? I wonder if he could tell you before hand what he's looking for/ what would make you unelligible.. Perhaps he'd agree to a pre-medical consulatation or something (of course for a fee) if you live close enough?

At my medical Dr. Stewart told me that I was looking at a denial but she needed further information from my family Dr. before completing her evaluation, which I do hope is done very soon, at least in the next few weeks. I hope everything goes well at his medical, why not get as much past and present medical documentation from his Dr. plus a prognosis for the coming future. He may have to sign a few waivers so the Dr. can gather whatever info they want from either his Dr. or the hospital.

Good luck and try to not stress too much on the unknown it may be for naught.

Yes I have already told him he needs to get a copy of his medical records and a letter from her to take with him, so as to answer any questions that may arise.

I'm trying not to stress but it just seems that one thing after another keeps going wrong.

Thanks for the input though. I do appreciate it.
