Service Request Submitted. Now what?

Hi everyone! Hope you all are doing great! 
 

My RFE response was received on May 11 2022. I have been patiently waiting. Today (sept 9), I talked to an agent and they said since it has been outside the 60 day timeframe, they will file a service request and I got the referral number. 
 

They told me to wait 30 days. There wasn’t any change on the status (should there be? Like “inquiry received?” Or is an inquiry different from service request?)

 

Does anyone have experience with an agent-filed service request ? How long did it take? Good news? Any thoughts?

All you need to do is wait, you will definitely hear from them before the 30 days, probably in a week or two, no one here can tell you about their decision but as long as you provided what they needed, then you will get a favorable outcome from them.

How were you able to get to the live agent? Can you share any tricks? I’m stuck with virtual bot and my case is also outside of 60 days

I just reached out to them via chat with Ask Emma. It helps do it early in the morning and just ask to speak to a live agent.

Today, I received an email that said “We are still reviewing your case. We will mail you a notice when we make a decision.”.

This means they closed the service request, but will this help at least bring attention to my application? I’m so frustrated as people who applied so many months after me are getting approved. I know the RFE delayed me, and I am so critical of myself for missing such a simple document. 
 

Has anyone else received this generic response? How long after did you hear back about approval/denial? How long should I wait know and what should my next step be?
 

please help. I need words of support and to hear success stories.
