Travel on Advance Parole

Hello,

I am a US citizen. My spouse is currently in the process of Adjustment of Status (AOS) to US permanent resident, and just recently got her EAD/Advance Parole combo card. She is an Indian citizen.

I have scoured the internet for answers to these questions, but have been unable to find any trustable official documentation, and therefore wanted to get official answers to these questions.

We are planning travel outside the US in December 2022 and I had a few questions about her travel:

1) We are planning travel to India. Is she allowed to transit (have a layover) through Europe en route to India given her Advance Parole status? What about the Middle East (Emirates via Dubai)? I've heard that some European countries do not allow Advance Parole holders to transit, while Middle Eastern countries do. Is this true?

2) From India, we are planning to travel to Indonesia with layovers in either Malaysia or Singapore. Is she required to obtain a transit (layover) visa for any of these countries due to her Advance Parole status?

3) Will travel to any countries apart from India (i.e. Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, etc) cause any issues when she returns to the US on Advance Parole status ?

4) If she gets a call for an interview for a Greencard while she is on travel (on Advance Parole status) out of the US, can she reschedule the Greencard appointment without any worry? Will she be able to reschedule to another date soon after coming back to the US?

5) If she happens to get her Greencard within the next 3 months before our travel in December 2022 and travels out of the US on Greencard status, do any of the above answers change in terms of visas or restrictions?

Many thanks.

Travel to other countries is completed with a passport of citizenship. Depending on the country of travel TO and depending on the country of citizenship will determine if visa needed.

Youll have to Google that country amd look for requirements for the citizenship country.

US immigration documents are irrelevant unless speaking of Canada and Mexico, USA's neighbour's.

AP and GC are for reentry to US.

GCs work quite well to board most cruises to the Caribbean and Central America, in addition to Canada and Mexico.

Countries my wife has traveled on a visa waiver due to her GC include:

Bahamas, Belize, Canada,  Dominican Republic, Honduras, Mexico, Turks and Caicos.

OP,  try https://www.iatatravelcentre.com to see if AP provides visa waiver for transits

No such thing as re-scheduling without worry when it comes to USCIS.  If your wife wants to risk it anyway, hopefully she won't have to go through the extra stress dealing with USCIS that this VJ member had to go through --
