I had my interview in may 22, 2022 they gave me blue slip  221g kept my passport

it's been 3.5 months no updates at all on Ceac website except for the day they responded to our attorney inquiry the last case was updated date changed.

They sent us this email:

Thank you for contacting our Immigrant Visa unit. Please be informed that this case has been referred for Administrative Review. New information when available will be communicated to the beneficiary.

what does administrative review means?  is it the same as adminstrative processing or is it something else.

what to expect and what do you recommend me to do.

thank you for taking the time to read my post, I will appreciate any insights

What is administrative processing? Administrative processing, also known as Security Advisory Opinion (SAO), is the time period during which visa applications undergo additional review outside of the “normal” visa processing times. Administrative processing takes place after the visa interview.

AP means they review so just a matter of what the embassy post

do u have any of the  Red flag issues like big age difference?

Keeping your passport is a good sign

221(g) Blue Form: A blue form implies that the US Visa Consulate needs an additional supporting document(s) to take a decision on a visa application

Did the embassy asks for additional documents?

Did u send them to the embassy?

According to previous post the age gap is 29 years (53f and 24m) so that I believe is what that is why they're in AP. Were there anything additional evidence or documents that were requested by embassy?
