You know, just my personal opinion here, but as a mark of respect for the Queen we should really use this thread to discuss her and what her passing means, both for the UK and the world. We have a gazillion other threads about Joe Biden this or that. I'm not saying "you can't post" but I do think we should at least try to keep things on topic. All this other stuff is sideshow to a very solemn occasion.

Her passing means she is ded.  Period.

I'd also say it was more English people than British people. In general.

 

Except the queuing and the crumbly pastries and the beans on toast. Those are pretty universal in my experience.

I once went with my husband to his UK dentist,...  they came at him with something that looked like this but big and old fashioned like it had survive a world war. It was huge!

And I thought to myself what sort of torturous horrors was their dentistry? The numbing didn't take either, so they kept jabbing him again and again. That being said he had braces so everything is straight. My dentist has complained about his bad UK fillings though, and has had to fix some of them. I have seen many with bad teeth and many with horror stories. It's not the public's fault really. They're either too terrified, can't afford it, or there's a shortage of good dentists.
