Hi everyone, I'm gathering documents/information for my K1 Visa (almost done โœ…). My fiance is from Ghana

ย When completing the I-129F relating to addresses, 2 of them do not have a street #, he declares that there is none for those 2. I've searched online and and couldn't find a # for them either. Anyone had this type of situation before ? What should I do or leave it as is? All responses are appreciated. Thank you in advance ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™

Hey @ChristynVic

ย

I believe USCIS is aware and take into consideration the factย that most beneficiaries live in 3rd world countries and not all abodes have street numbers.

ย

When I filled out the I-129F last year, I put the exact address that my fiancรฉ gave me. He gave me a descriptionย of where he lived/lives because not all of the locations had street numbers. When I got the RFE, it had nothing to do with his address, and then the petition was later approved. So I donโ€™t think the street number, or lack there of, will be an issue.
ย

I hope this encourages you to submit as soon as possible ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Yes. ย My then fiancรฉe had no clueย ย what her street address was when I was filling out I-129F. ย She even asked the mail carrier who said the same.ย
ย

So I did tow things. ย
ย

1. I made her mailing address my address in the USA. ย If the embassy or USCIS was going to mail stuff to her, it would come to my home, because mail is more reliable to me. ย Only slightly more reliable though as my mail carrier in the USA was certifiably insane. ย
ย

2. When entering her physical address I entered something like: โ€œOnย ABC Road near north east intersection of DEF Street, across from GHI Hotelโ€ย

ย

When we were ready to engage with the embassy, theย embassy did all communications ย through ย email or phone calls to my fiancรฉe. ย ย I initiated all the emails in the beginning and ccโ€™ed my fiancรฉe. Sometimes ย the embassy would email my wife directly and she would coward me the emails so that I knew what was going on. ย She received two phone calls from the embassy. ย One to confirm interview appointment. The second to advise her that her visa was ready to be picked up. ย
