Congratulations! I hope so too! I submitted an inquiry today

Has your status update to sent to department of state?

Also, double check your I-130 approval.  It doesn't say you need to fill out an I-824 does it?  Hopefully not but worth a check

That’s great, congratulations!

Ours came a couple of days before our first anniversary.

Is anyone planning to drag out the process so you get to the US after your 2nd anniversary for the IR1 rather than the CR1? We’re both tempted because it sounds more convenient but we’re not sure.

Had it been only a couple of months, maybe, but not with so long to go. Life is too short to waste another 11 months.

I have a few questions if anyone can help from the UK. We’re looking into getting the police certificate and it says it can take up to 30 days. We just paid our fees and are waiting to start the DS-260. Can we order the certificate at any point or have to wait after we submit the DS-260? It’s says about getting the civil documents after we submit the DS-260, but if they give us a interview date very quickly and it will take a bit to get the police certificate we’re worried of we won’t get it in time for the interview. Also, when applying it’s says service required, what does that mean? Thanks!

The police certificate can be ordered at any time, you'll want to do that ASAP just so it's in the process of being issued while you work on the other parts.

Thank you! We just weren’t sure and if we could get it early then obviously we want to. We’ll get that ordered today then!
