Just a heads up that we got our DQ e-mail this afternoon.  Soo progress is slowly being made.  At what point can we schedule the medical?

Congratulations, you can start the medical as soon as you receive your interview appointment, it has a validity of 6 months and you don’t know when the interview will be scheduled so you can wait until you receive your interview appointment, looking at how UK nationals are being schedule faster yours won’t take long. Ours is more than a month now and we are still waiting for an interview at the Brussels Embassy.

Congrats @lvjeremylv and @Speedy troy for getting the DQ - now just the medical and interview to go, you're on the home stretch.

After getting the DQ it took about 10 days for my interview letter to be sent through. You can't schedule your medical until you've got this, but you'll probably be given an interview slot about 6-8 weeks out, so you'll have plenty of time to get it done beforehand.

Did any one submitted documents to NVC after Oct 16th? I am curious to know if the updated timeframe on NVC site is accurate or are they still approving documents within 7-10 days.

On Friday one of our September filers received their DQ’d in 7 days so maybe they are still reviewing cases within 7-14 days.

Hope that is still the case. I just submitted all my documents to NVC on Oct 23rd.

It’s been a month and some weeks since NVC’s CEAC status changed to at NVC when my case was DQ’d and lawfully status just changed to at NVC all this while it was “action required” submit require documents.

Hopefully you get the IL soon.

I just got the DQ email today. Took them 9 days in total.

Finally at a point I can do my taxes. I e had the run around and have come to the conclusion I have to file my taxes separately from my husband because he doesn’t have a SSN or an ITIN. This has been dumb. Then we can sum it our stuff to NVC.

Question for NVC document translations: did anyone else translate their partner's documents themselves? I am fluent in both languages and it would be way easier for me to just translate it but I'm worried since it's not an certified translation, it will cause problems (even though I know it says it doesn't need to be done by an official). Was hoping someone could give me insight whether it worked out for them or not.

Thanks in advance!

So I was rereading the requirements for translation and from what I understand, I don't need to translate if they are in Spanish and that is the official language of where we are applying from.

Did anyone else submit NVC docs without translating because they were in the language of the country you were applying from?
