Do you honestly think it’s worth it? I’m already 11 months in and still need about a month more to prepare documents for NVC. What about those who don’t file for a K3? Are the timeline still accurate on the USCIS website you think?

If you have already filed the I130 then you basically already have all the documents required to file I129F. It's basically free to file (minus a couple bucks of postage), honestly I don't see why everyone doesn't file it - it exists for a 'reason' even if it has generally been depreciated/no longer issued.

As for whether or not the published 'processing time' on USCIS is accurate - I doubt it. Vermont SC is still processing a smaller # of cases than the other SC's so until USCIS updates how they calculate the metric, then I don't think it ever will be 'accurate' and actually represent when people should expect to have their case processed.

Agreed. Just a few days before our NOA2 I thought the K3 was wishful thinking, but it really got us approved in 5 months in Vermont SC.

PD: April 4th, 2022

K3 received: 2 weeks after

First 'active review' was middle of September, and second 'active review' was two weeks after that. It was as if the K3 made them open our case again. The 2nd active review usually comes 6 months+ after!

I still haven’t got my first AR, and it’s been just about 11 months! While I’m happy yours and others got approved quickly, I feel it’s really unfair in some ways how they don’t truly process in the order received. This, more than any other government process in America has made me realize how truly messed up our system is. I’ve travelled quite a bit in the world, and nowhere I’ve been compared to the long waits, absolutely nonsensical procedures, and straight up spaghetti noodle the US immigration system is.

I’m sorry, and I know it’s not fair at all. If it’s any solace, just until a month ago the waits in my country for interview after DQ was 13 months. Something tells me you’ll interview before us, so do not despair.

Yes, the system is broken. File the K3 now, what are you waiting for? It’s free!

It's a long, hard process. But again, I repeat what I said about the k3 earlier - technically we've been failed by our lawmakers and federal agencies since instead of processing the K3 visa they use this as a I-130 fast-track. If everyone filed it, they would be forced to address this issue and realize that the whole system needs to be fixed (regarding getting immediate family members to the US asap.) Until that time, I encourage everyone to use it!
