Not for me.  I have sent about 7 inquiries and close to 10 chats without success.  Not going to keep trying, just living my life.  Otherwise, I will be more annoyed.

Sadly, not for us yet.  Nope.  NADA.

I have done some research and it is normal, especially in Potomac.  They have cases that they apply the fingerprints within a month and others that don't hear about it and just get their interviews or approvals.

I used the app to search for cases and it appears they stopped applying biometrics on 751s some time in July 2022 to focus on something else. LOL

Hi all,

my case has been at the Potomac office since November, and yesterday my case got updated to” Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction”

I haven’t received the letter yet and I’m in France until Monday but I’ll keep everyone updated since most of us at the Potomac office havent had much news to go off of

Update : my case was transferred to the national benefits center and the letter says they’ll me know once they make a decisions or if they need more information ( still no biometrics applied btw)

ps: travelling from the U.S to France ( with United Airlines) with my extension letter was a breeze. There was no confusion at any point.

Did you submit an inquiry or anything that might have prompted the movement?  Or did you just get both notifications normally while just waiting? :)

What do you mean by «  both notifications »

- I actually did not receive any notification

- I checked my case status on the 10th and it said that my case was transferred on the 9th and I received the letter saying that it went to the National benefits center on the 13th

- I did submit two inquiries ( one in December and one in February) but I don’t think they prompted anything since I received generic messages 2 months after each inquiry

- there hasn’t been any movement on my case since the 10th :)

Hi all!

Sorry, new to this forum, not sure how it properly works.

Does anyone know if you can get a biometric appointment even after you received a "Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken"? Thinking to travel for a month and afraid to miss something important. Is there supposed to be a biometric appointment for I-751? Or they just applying the fingerprints from the previous GC?

Thank you!

The notification of "case was updated to show fingerprints were taken" means your biometrics for AOS were applied to your 751 ROC.  So, you are just wanting on a notification as to whether or not you will need an interview for approval, get an RFE, approval, intent to denial notice, or whatever else.  This usually takes over a year (though I have seen some cases from August/September 2022 that have seen movement on a decision already).

Thank you for such a quick response! That seems logic. I'm just still paranoid because with USCIS you never know.

I know it takes forever, we applied in October 2022, received the 24 months extension and this notification about the fingerprints. I see people here say they're receiving 48 months extensions now :(((

If you don't have a 48 month extension letter, I would immediately contact USCIS and get it.
