Filling N400 online; and getting alerts on employment history section.    I was in between jobs on later part of 5/2019 and early part of 6/2019; busy searching for a job for a three/four weeks.    And between 12/22/2018 and 12/23/2018 - I ended one job on Friday and started a new on Monday.  Essentially USCIS form is asking me what did I do on that weekend.   Kindly advise if can I safely ignore these alerts.

Im not sure if it allows gaps.il Usually its looking for “unemployed” for any gaps. If it wont  accept the gaps,  change the end date of your previous employment to the Sunday before you started the new job on the Monday . You weren't really unemployed as you didnt usually work weekends

If one has not worked for 3 years, is it a problem ?

Unemployment itself is not an issue  .. unless it is connected to something else which is …

Working is not a requirement. As long as by not working you stay on the legal side of this short journey called life, you are ok.

I did not work for many months, maybe years. I will put UNEMPLOYED and PROUD !

Working is a choice, a personal one, based on you beliefs, circumstances and so on.

How are you eligible for N-400 filing if you got your GC only in Nov last year?  Are you filing under 319(b)?

These are two different cases - previously i posted/asked using this account  for someone else  for AOS.   Now it is for different individual, her husband, - who has had Green card for over 5 years now.

Best to let them ask directly here. Critical information may be missed in the process of asking on their behalf. When it's missed, wrong advice could be given, leading to issues with immigration.

Even for short gaps I specified as unemployed. As long as I accounted for my individual history as honestly as possible, I was fine with the IO.
